We had really great expectations from this hotel, primary for a 24 hours working pool, but unfortunately it turned out to be the worst hotel out of 4 on our 8 days Uzbekistan tour. LOCATION - very good, in a side quiet street by a big boulevard. Nearest attraction Chor Minor, 3 min walk, and to old town central Bukhara around 15 min. APPEARANCE - Here's one of the problems. The hotel you see on booking platforms is the old building and it is situated in a nice courtyard away from the street. Despite it's old, it is still nice and nicely decorated. BUT, they are enlarging the hotel, building a new hotel around it which faces the street, so you're basically lodged at a construction site. That is mentioned nowhere on booking platforms and is certainly no ones idea when on a vacation - you walk among raw construction materials and bunch of workers there. ROOMS - Spacious and clean, but with bathroom issues. Toilet not flushing well and shower broken spraying around so we took it off using only the hose. BREAKFAST - worst out of 4 hotels on our tour. Very limited and poor choice, on day 2 we took only coffee POOL - biggest issue. Pool is located in another building in that courtyard not connected with the hotel (nor it will be with the new building). In that way you must walk outside to reach it, so it might be usable only during summer. At the same time the doors of the pool area (which is frankly pretty big) are common glass doors not hermetically closing the space, but allowing wind and cold to penetrate, so it was cold inside even in October. For those reasons we didn't use it. STAFF - very kind, but after our stay made one very unfair gesture I don't want to mention. To conclude, hotel has a big potential if resolving the issues, but currently we were misled by lack of information, as otherwise at this moment we wouldn't stay here.
