They tried to charge me more for City Tax than stated in the booking confirmation, which needs to be paid in the Hotel localy. Other than that the Hotel was ok and what I really like, the little treats such chocolate bars and water for free in the room.

The hotel is very conveniently located for late flights and arrivals at the airport. The city bus to the airport stops nearby and operates all night. The hotel also has free parking and a 24-hour reception. The room is small, but has everything you need, including a kettle, tea, water and chocolate bars. You can order breakfast.

really nice and sweet staff, accidentally injured myself, hotel staff provided first aid kit and helped me find hospitals i could go to at night. when i go back to pick up the luggage after i checked out, the staff remembered my injuries and asked if i was okay. thank you for the staff here who made my trip in budapest better.
breakfast is alright. there’s a fridge in the room too.

The nowadays Hotel Chesscom has come a long way from the previous Hostel/Guesthouse to nowadays offer a highly professional Hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, strong and stable wifi. Excellent breakfast. Across the street from the 200E Bus service to the Airport.
The smell from the canalisation in the bathroom is a little bit unpleasant at times.
