Had an excellent stay. The reception was very friendly and even packed us a huge breakfast the next day since we were traveling early morning. Would definitely travel again here.

Hotel is not particularly clean , boat is clearly old and hotel not had any money invested for a long time . Restaurant didn’t open , breakfast expensive and limited. The worst though was Bed bugs , I was bitten literally hundreds of times. Had every thing from the small lave to the fully grown dark red ones running over the beds,I have never experienced the effects of BED BUG bites but it is dreadful . Imagine mosquitos and x by 10 , huge swellings that itch non stop but only show some days after, by which time you are home and you’ve brought them home in your luggage, this hotel has had bedbug complaints dating back to 2019 ! They cannot be exterminated by chemicals ,

THIS PLACE IS FULL OF BED BUG. We stayed at De Barge with seven of us in the party in 4 rooms and its very dirty and shabby. Our room had a very bad odour, Our friend in the next room had bed bugs and was bitten all over. THE OWNER KNOWS THIS, BUT STILL BOOKS GUESTS IN. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!

De kamers waren eenvoudig en een beetje gedateerd, maar voor een 3 sterren hotel hadden we nu ook niet de grote luxe verwacht. Het ontbijt was ondermaats, alles behalve vers en zijn geld (20 euro) niet waard. Jammer want is nochtans een mooie locatie.

It's nice this boat moored at the quay and placed on the canal (no boat noise) Nothing more pleasant than having breakfast (very copious) at the canal level with the ducks on the other side of the window. About 1 kilometer from the center and near the lake of love and the beguinage. The only downside, the hotel parking is reserved for loading and unloading, you have to go and park in the underground parking lot of the station (7/8 min walk)

Un séjour en couple dans la cabine du capitaine, la literie est très usée, il y a de poussières très visibles sur les tables de nuit, la lumière de la salle de bain ne fonctionne pas, pas de chauffage dans la chambre du capitaine (on a pas été prévenu non plus), pas de place de parking non plus ( il y a 3 place devant le bateau uniquement).
Après le signalement du chauffage qui ne fonctionne pas, on est revenu dans la soirée et c’était pas réparé (bien sûr on a pas été prévenu, on a dû descendre et demandé s’ils sont intervenus) après insistance on nous a proposé une plus petite chambre pour le même prix …. Et un dédommagement de 20 euros le lendemain …. Endroit à éviter

We were welcomed kindly & were impressed with the Barge decor. As others have reviewed: we parked at the train station for 6.20€ for 24hrs (pay on exit) and walked to the hotel along a quiet street. The walk to the town centre was comfortable; we took several routes to explore the area and they took us 20-30mins). Breakfast was included with our stay and the variety was welcomed. Our canel-view room was akin to a cruise ship cabin; quirky with enough space for our luggage for our single night stay. We will be recommending our stay to family/friends who visit Bruges.

A very unique hotel experience with lovely views of the Gent-Bruges Canal. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant and helpful evening staff.
Parking facilities are very minimal and inconvenient, and it is necessary to park at the Railway Station, some 1/4 mile away.
The restaurant is not open on Tuesdays and we found it very difficult to find somewhere to dine in the evening.
