The room is very retro and located in the center of the old town. It feels like every piece of furniture is an antique, but the bathroom facilities are modern enough, and the restaurant and corridors are very stylish. I thought that the sound insulation would be poor in such an old house, but it was actually okay. There were some minor floor noises that didn't bother me.

This hotel was amazing. in a very good and cosy location of the city. The room is right beside the black swan canal. Overall is well worth it!

The location is average, the room itself is very nice, but one exception…the chairs in the room. They are not comfortable to sit on for longer than 30 minutes.
I don’t understand why a hotel like this would pick such cheap and uncomfortable chairs.

Three night stay booked directly with the hotel , we were thanked on check in for doing so , it’s not a cheap place to stay and we opted to eat out for breakfast so can’t comment on its quality. The room we had overlooked the canal and was very spacious , extremely clean but slightly tired with paint chipped off door frames and towels very thin, must say the bed was big and very comfortable that aside staff were friendly on check in , Excellent location for exploring Bruges with main square 5 min walk away and everything is pretty much in walking distance if you’re mobile. Check out is 1100 and not 0900 when the cleaner was banging on the door , knocking three times over 20 minutes. Nice old building and recording keeping with its style.

This is a beautiful and charming hotel in a wonderful location. We had a view overlooking the canal which was perfect. The room was air conditioned and the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! The bathroom was nice and even though the shower was just an over bath one, it was powerful and perfectly sufficient. We found the hotel and housekeeping to be A1. The breakfast was very good offering lots of variety and the whole experience was excellent value for money. My only niggle is on check in and day two, we had a member of staff on reception who wasn’t remotely welcoming. After a long journey, we hoped for a warm welcome but we got far from this. Thankfully, after the second day he was off work and we got much nicer ones! We would definitely stay here again next time we go to Bruges.

Beautiful hotel, great location, but.... Review of Hotel Martin's Relais Reviewed today We stayed here for a romantic week in Bruges. The hotel was perfect for the purpose. Beautiful room on garden side, so very calm, great breakfast, centrally located. But, bathroom poorly lighted, soap dispenser broken, not fixed until last days, magnifying mirror broken & not replaced. I had to request the cleaning person to empty the bathroom bin. Not a good hotel if you have accessibility issues (no ramp to get into the hotel) Not worth the high price we paid
