Very upset with the Breakfast options available for vegetation. Not worth paying £120 (a night) and finding such a limited food options. I would not recommend staying.

Good hotel and a nice room, expected it to be slightly bigger but was very nice and clean. Parking at this hotel is not ideal but the location is great.

The hotel is centrally located and reading from some history records, this is also the first purpose built hotel in Bristol. The street it is located is full of history.
As a business traveler, the room needs a proper table for us to work. This is the only things that missing.

This is definitely the worst and most lousy Mercure in the world, even worse than Ibis.
Most of the air conditioners and heaters in the hotel are broken, the facilities are old, and the lighting is dim.
The hotel team is extremely unprofessional, with a bad attitude and a negative attitude towards handling problems. One thing has to be said over and over again before it can be implemented. The sink inexplicably couldn't be turned on. I told the front desk twice but no one was sent to fix it. Ctrip had to communicate with the hotel to send someone. Others didn't have to pay a deposit, but they wanted my deposit, and the hotel couldn't give any reason. Housekeeping was even more unprofessional. The bedside and many other places were covered with thick dust before changing rooms. Tea bags and coffee were not replenished every day, towels were not given from time to time, and the sheets were not changed in five days.

The hotel is very conveniently located in central Bristol, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room itself was quite spacious, featuring a comfortable bed and a good shower.
However, one issue I encountered was the heating— it wasn’t working during my stay, and each room had been provided with a small electric heater instead. This wasn’t mentioned at any point prior to booking or even at check-in, which was disappointing. The heater provided was quite small for the size of the room, and if the weather had been any colder, it likely wouldn’t have been sufficient to keep the room warm.
Service at the front desk was also a bit slow. I tried calling reception multiple times using the in-room phone over the course of a few hours, but no one ever answered.
The hotel does offer amenity kits, which is a nice touch—especially as many hotels seem to have done away with them. However, the breakfast was a bit pricey for what was offered, which may not be the best value for money.
Overall, the location and room size were great, but the heating issue, slow service, and expensive breakfast could use improvement.
