Saco Bristol West India House

The apartment is close to the charming St Nicholas Market and floating harbour where I did a few run up to the Clifton suspension bridge. Feels like home with space and all the necessary amenities. Got food supplies from Tesco and Sainsbury down the street and cooked our dinner and breakfast. The Centre bus station is within walking distance (down Baldwin Street) where you can get on buses to tour the city. Overall a relaxing stay👍

I'm so happy i chose this place. Great central location in the old city overlooking the canal. Accommodation had everything you might need. Tasteful and comfortable.

We booked the 2-bedroom flat on the top floor of the building, for a birthday trip to the city. The location was excellent and the building itself was lovely. The apartment was well equipped and furnished, with plenty of space and facilities for our two night stay. Nice powerful showers, a working TV, washing machine, dishwasher and everything felt very secure. There was even a little lift to help my elderly father get to the very top floor. The communication was excellent and the host was very friendly and helpful. There is a fair bit of noise from the bars and clubs surrounding the area, but that was expected considering its location in the inner city so we didn't mind much. Brewdog is next door, and the lovely river with all the bars and eateries are on the doorstep. Unfortunately, our trip coincided with the heatwave which saw temperatures of over 34deg in Bristol and our top floor roof apartment was SWELTERINGLY hot. They had provided two large fans which were a little helpful, but the windows are blocked from being opened past only 3 inches or so which meant we could not get any decent airflow into the accommodation. We did not sleep well in pools of sweat, and had to take cold showers several times just to cool down. The heatwave is no fault of SACO itself, but weather like this is only set to increase in frequency and that top flat in the roof should have air-con installed. We noticed the other levels of the building were significantly cooler. I would pick SACO Bristol to stay in again as overall, we were very satisfied.

West India House is a great place to stay for short business trips in Bristol. The apartments are clean, spacious, and in a perfect central location — ideal for working professionals who need comfort and convenience. A special mention to the manager, Adrian, who has been really helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. He made our stay smooth and also showed genuine interest in potential future business opportunities. He’s approachable, professional, and a great point of contact. Highly recommend reaching out to him if you’re considering staying here for work or business travel.

Only one thing is missing in this apartment: a little terrace:) Otherwise, Everything was perfect including the support and welcoming of the team !
