Very Good
HHayley122The hotel is incredibly close to the station, which was a huge convenience, especially when traveling with luggage. My only suggestion for improvement would be a slightly lower price or the inclusion of breakfast. However, the hotel itself has a very stylish design and looks both clean and attractive.
CChris from the shirePros first. Great rooms, great staff, clean and looked after hotel, right on the front. Near to everything.
Cons Hotel is also a club / pub and is very loud till 4pm during the weekends. All rooms are above the bar / club so had little to no sleep the entire time we were there. They do provide ear plugs in the room but this hotel is suitable for the young ish amongst us of night owls.
Wouldn’t go back but only because of the lack of sleep. Booming bass and a good nights sleep are not a marriage made to work.
DDayanggaolianThe hotel is located by the sea. From the train station, it's best to take a bus, as walking is inconvenient due to the numerous hills. The room was tiny, and for an older hotel, the lack of a phone and air conditioning was quite unbearable. Luckily, opening the window provided a cool breeze. I booked well in advance, but was surprised to find the price significantly cheaper when I checked on the day of arrival. Their pricing seems very inconsistent.
GGuest UserBooked quite late and what a little find! Perfect location on the seafront, breakfast had lots of variety and was very tasty. Rooms modern and comfortable beds. Pool, sauna and gym well equipped. Only slight problem was the lack of hotel car park- but we managed to find one nearby and leave our bags in the secure room before check in.
GGuest UserHotel is in a great location, what used to be a grand old hotel is now a hostel hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful.Roons are great and quiet z they also provided a fan. The decor was a little worn and there were some flies hovering in reception probably due to rubbish ready to be collected.
Breakfast is simple and filling, there is a bar and pool table and plenty of space to sit and socialise. There is a small kitchen available too. There is no kettle in private room so bring your own tea and coffee and you can boil the kettle in shared kitchen if it's within hours otherwise you will need your own.
JJonathan WallerNice hotel in good location next to the Brighton Dome and short walk to The Lanes and the seafront.
Our initial room wasn't great - v.small and some electrical issues and nowhere to work from with a laptop - the hotel was fully booked but the management kindly offered us an upgrade to the suite at a preferred rate which was gratefully accepted and went the extra mile to install a desk and chair which made things so much easier on our 5 night stay.
Great coffee shop on the premises is a bonus.
I get the feeling they were short staffed on the cleaning front, which i won't complain about as it seems to be a common problem across the UK.
Overall a good comfortable stay and the suite was a good size with round bed, bath and walk in shower. A panoramic view provides plenty of light into the room. nice.
Thank you
Llann94High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous occupant, and this was quite a large wrapper that would have been difficult to miss during cleaning. Communication around bed preference was not good at all, I had specifically asked for a king (and have the evidence of this in my booking details) yet on arrival twin beds were set up. When I raised this with the company, there was no offer of rectifying this, instead I was told more than once that this had been the request. To add insult to injury, our neighbours in the room next door invited some friends to their room and it seemed they were having their own party at 3am with shouting, giggling and loud music and more than 5 in the one room. We knocked on the door in the end to request some quiet as, with the club outside, we were completely surrounded by noise. One small plus point that, once we managed to get to sleep, the bed (albeit the twin I hadn’t requested) was very comfortable.
GGuest UserOn the pricey end of hotels in Brighton, the room very simple and old fashioned.
No real complaints staff are very friendly. Getting the bags to the room is difficulty so I wouldn't recommend to someone with reduced mobility.
But overall great view and nice staff.
GGuest UserThe room was not large, but it felt modern and clean, just like the picture! The location was good, but it was disappointing for a place where 4 people went and paid 80,000 won per person. There was no elevator and the bathroom was shared... ㅠ But I think that date was a bit expensive. I looked up other dates and it was just a little cheaper. I would have been 99% satisfied! The bathroom was clean, but there was no shampoo. They gave us one towel each.
GGuest UserEasy to book via Trip.com, reasonable price for room with ensuite in great location. I liked the decor and the bathroom. Lovely clean fluffy white towels, good wifi, password clearly indicated, useful blackout blind, HOWEVER, the lights were falling out of the ceiling, bedside lamps were sort of attached to the wall, very wobbly and dusty and the bed was cobbled together from two mismatched divans so that there was a downhill slope towards the head end of several inches. I have never seen anything like it. I slept for an hour or two using the pillows to prop me up, but still woke with all the blood gone to my head so I had to sleep upside down on top of the bed. A bed to sleep in is THE basic requirement for a hotel room, so really guys, install an actual bed!!!!!!
