The room was clean, and I stayed on the first floor, which was incredibly convenient. The reception was right outside my room door, making it easy to communicate with the owner. It was also a huge help that the mineral water in the fridge in front of the reception was free. It seems to be a family-run guesthouse, and everyone was friendly and kind. I received such warm hospitality, like coming home, so I often returned to my room to relax during the hotter hours of the day. They greeted me with an ”Okaeri!” (Welcome home!) each time I went in and out, which was several times a day. On my checkout day, my train wasn't until the evening, but the owner told me I could use the terrace (which was actually indoors) until 5 PM and even gave me some water. The mother also offered me fruit, naan, and snacks. Finally, the owner, Aut-san, offered to drive me to the station, which was a huge help. Khiva is very far from Tokyo and a challenging journey, but if I ever come back, I would love to stay at this guesthouse again.

The couple at the homestay are friendly, but only speak Uzbek! But they also try their best to help us solve the problem. The nearby homestay should be managed by a supervisor to respond to foreign English. Since online payment is made through trip.com, only other miscellaneous fees need to be paid to the homestay. But the blonde woman who managed the homestay actually asked us to pay 5 times the miscellaneous fee, and said that there is a charge for entering the ancient city. According to our many verifications, if the homestay is in the ancient city, there is no need to pay any admission fee to enter the ancient city. Her attitude is extremely tough and bad! Actually said that pay or leave! In the end, we went through the online customer service of Trip.com to solve the problem. Breakfast at the homestay is OK! There is a hot water bottle outside the homestay for 24 hours and coffee and tea bags! The owner and his wife are hospitable and friendly! However, there were some drawbacks: the room lacked disposable amenities and a bathrobe. Also, there was a musty-smelling towel, as if it had been forgotten in the washing machine; the smell was awful, but they replaced it immediately. When I wiped the wet floor with the foot towel, it turned grey from dust. The breakfast for a 7000-ruble room seemed meager to me. The towels in the hotel look old and are also stiff. I would not repeat this experience; I believe for this price, one can have a more pleasant stay.

In warm weather, you can enjoy breakfast on the large open rooftop terrace, but since it was a bit chilly, we had ours in the cozy breakfast room. The breakfast offered a great variety and was very delicious.

The desk staff was very friendly. They had a water fountain that lets you refill your bottle. Overall this hotel is decent. It was within the old city so all tourist sites were within walking distance. Clean rooms. Decent breakfast.

It is about 5 minutes walk from the west gate of Ichankara. It is convenient to the west gate if you are not concerned with staying in Ichankara. It was a hotel full of family-run hospitality. The hotel was clean to change to shoes, and the room was clean and comfortable. At breakfast, my eldest son's boy taught me how to eat delicious food. In addition, this owner also has a travel agency, and I had a taxi to Bukhara via the owner's recommended Ayazukara.
