JJames DobleI recently stayed at the Hôtel de Bourbon (the Mercure one) in Bourges, and honestly, it felt like stepping into a little piece of history while still having all the modern comforts you could want.
My room was a classic double, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent—properly supportive after a day of wandering around—and the bathroom had a great walk-in shower with good water pressure. Everything felt freshly renovated (they did a big update around 2018), with a nice blend of modern touches and the old abbey character. Some rooms overlook the park, which must be lovely in summer.

GGuest UserExceptional , Very kind and helpfull staff, Rooms and facilities are clean and very well maintained. very nicce swimming pool, although the weather was a bit cold and windy, the pool temperature was good, the rooms are just perfect for a long stay.

GGuest UserHotel located at the outdoor of l A71 and from where you can easily go to the centre of Bourges by car. Very functional room, comfortable large bed. Serviceable staff. Very good full breakfast. Very good price quality ratio.
