This hotel is pure magic from the moment you climb the stairs to the fish ponds and lush garden. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The room we chose was large with big windows and views of the valley and green vegetation. The Chinese breakfast was really good and I would definitely recommend having dinner at their restaurant which offers fantastic value with their set menus. The hotel staff offer drop off and pick up to the village below. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommendj this hotel to our friends and family. Hope to be back soon.

Before traveling, I checked all the hotels and B&Bs near Zhangzhou Yunshuiyao and Nanjing Tulou on Ctrip, especially the bad reviews of each hotel, and finally found this newly opened B&B. We checked in with the intention of giving it a try. Unexpectedly, it exceeded our expectations. We are so satisfied. Xinsu is renovated on the basis of a century-old local earth building. We hired a professional design team to retain the style of the earth building, and the internal facilities are very modern, which satisfies our desire to experience the culture of the ancient building while also wanting to compare the facilities. There is no need to worry about congestion in the scenic area. Location and environment: In Yunshuiyao Scenic Area, it is very close to Huaiyuan Tower and Huoshao Tower, within ten minutes' walk. We were unwell at the time and had a bad stomach after eating in Quanzhou. The boss specially helped us make porridge, noodles, steamed eggs, etc. that were not on the menu but were particularly easy to digest, which was very helpful for our physical recovery. So heartwarming! There is also an open tea room and study room in the B&B. Due to health reasons, we basically spent the whole day in the Tulou, drinking tea (the cinnamon tea in the Tulou has a special fragrance and is particularly delicious), reading, and playing in the water (there is a pond in the center of the Tulou) Koi (also available at the entrance of the restaurant), very cozy. If you have time in the future, plan to stay in Tulou for a few more days, bring your relatives and friends, and experience the Tulou culture immersively again.

The most sensible choice for this trip to Yunshuiyao is to stay in this B&B. The B&B is located in the core of the scenic area 50 meters behind the waterwheel, which is very convenient for travel. I came directly to Yunshuiyao Ancient Town and booked a homestay for two nights. The living was very comfortable, the room was very new and clean, and there was a place for children to play. The store was very warm and good. I had dinner here during the direct stay. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were very good. The product was delicious. The homestay was close to the scenic spot and it was very convenient to get in and out! Will choose here again next time!

The room decoration is very new. The room on the first floor has floor heating. It is very warm in winter. The bedding is very comfortable. The duvet is soft and warm. The room is equipped with a nut projector. You can cast a movie on the screen. Hotel location is within walking distance from Huaiyuan Building and the ancient town. You can drive to the surrounding restaurants. There are many restaurants. It is very quiet at night. The proprietress and family are very enthusiastic and invited us to have tea. I looked at many B&Bs in Yunshui Yao and this one has the best value for money. The room is very large. If you drive, parking is also very convenient. Hotel location is very good, nearby is the waterwheel owner scenic spot. The car can drive directly to the door. The breakfast is delicious, there are many restaurants nearby, open very late, very convenient. The hotel room is clean and hygienic, the windows are large, and there are welcome fruits.

As it wasn't a busy time and we were staying for a whole week, on check they upgraded us to the Wooden Loft Family Room, which was quite nice. The room was comfortable with big windows and a nice view across the stream to the forest. It was great to have a washing machine and the washing machine had a dryer function as well so we could still dry our clothes when it was cloudy and cool. The smart toilet was a bit disappointing as the controller wasn't very responsive and the flush was very weak. The tub was nice though the water was not quite hot enough to make it comfortable. Most of all we enjoyed the courtyard area and the breakfast/restaurant area, especially the tea room. They are really well designed and organized and provide a nice space to relax and read and write. The breakfast was quite nice, they provide a serving size based on the number of people, though it was often not enough for us and we normally asked for another serving. They also brought a fruit and yogurt platter to the room in evenings which we also enjoyed. The location is convenient to walk down to the Yuchanglou Tulou in Xiabancun, though part of the way will be on the main road which can be busy with traffic. To get to other areas such as Tianluokeng and Taxiacun it is also possible to walk, though again sometimes you have to walk on the main road as there is no walking path or small side road. There is a tourist bus service that goes between the scenic spots and you can even flag them down in between though you are supposed to have purchased a transportation ticket first and that is not striaghtforward to get if you didn't get it in advance. So, most guests come with their own car or rent one. If arriving by train, while trip.com shows the Yongding and Longshan railway stations as the closest, actually the quickest and most convenient station is the one at Nanjing. Also, because the hotel is within the scenic area you do need to purchase tickets to enter, either online tickets or paper tickets at the gate.

The homestay is in a bunch of homestays, very close to the big banyan tree, the management aunt is very enthusiastic, but the homestay can never be compared with the hotel, there are several designs that are very problematic: the toilet is facing the bed, which makes people feel that they have gone to the public house in Hong Kong. Someone going to the toilet at night will definitely wake up other people. The location of the shower gel is too high, maybe you want to squeeze a little less, the toilet is too small, it is difficult to squat down, and the dressing mirror outside will shine at night. Breakfast is just a bowl of wontons (like giving beggars). Although I won't go to Zhangzhou in the future, I still want the store to improve it.
