White Hart Hotel by Greene King Inns

Pleasant stay, nice convenient hotel in town.

My 4th time in the hotel. Location is great since it is in the center of town. Food is also good but I would prefer more variety for breakfast hot meal. No elevator so difficult for people travelling with big bags. Staff is just friendly and super helpful.

Visiting for a family wedding here was much cheaper than the local chain hotels. Receptionist was very friendly and a great help when we discovered the room wouldn't have been suitable due to a temporary mobility issue that meant stairs were a problem. Staff couldn't do enough to help move us to a different room after working out what would be available for both nights of our stay, and I believe we even got an upgrade at no extra cost. The room was lovely, bright and airy witb comfy chairs and a desk big enough to have a large laptop open. Bed was very comfy and the shower was very powerful. Despite being at the front of the hotel, and staying a Saturday night (and with an open window) it wasn't that noisy. A minor issue with a TV Remote that didn't work properly that was reported and not changed, all in all we had a great stay, and in the unlikely event we're in the area again, would definitely consider staying there again!

We stayed here for 1 night to go to a concert at Chelmsford racecourse, it was £100 without breakfast which I thought was expensive. The room was clean but basic, bed was very comfy and a very good shower but the hand soap dispenser was empty, well stocked tea tray though. The room was in a new part of the hotel, the old part is much nicer where the bar & dining room are. I had the continental breakfast for £7.50 which should have had more options according to the menu but lack of staff meant the dining tables hadn't been cleared, there were no clean cups & thehot water had run out sohad to wait for them and the buffet was running out. It is in a good location for train and bus station and shops.

Great place in BTown - food was lovely, service amazing. Special shout out to Josh H, absolute geezar. Cracked me up the whole night and made me feel very welcomed. Looking forward to coming back for another good night. Great team, will defo be back.

Fabulous old coaching inn with a wide range of comfy modern features. Gorgeous clean n well presented bedroom. Bar areas welcoming - I could have stayed all day. Meals were great value set in a beautiful dining room. Staff were amazing. Will return here on our next visit to Essex
