Great value for money at Travelodge – just £44 for a night. The room was clean and comfortable with good bedding and a strong shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. We usually look for a Travelodge first when booking, as it consistently delivers reliability and comfort at a fair price.

Perfect location, perfect for shops, trains and buses. gr8 facilities, comfortable basic but well equipped rooms. Iron, hairdryer etc. available on request.

Staff are nice and friendly. Public Parking attached to the hotel. Wetherspoons and Pizza/Pie/Kebab place 40 steps away. Quiet neighborhood. Tops!

I stayed in braintree for 6 weeks and during my stay, I got to know several members of staff. Ones that stood out the most are wo brilliant and helpful ladies on reception, both called ciara and the assistant manager named JJ. All three were incredible helpful, polite and friendly, tailoring for any requirements I had, be it towels, pillows or a lamp, they were chatty and reliable. All 3 made me feel very welcome. The only down side was the manager seemed to be mildly unbothered towards helping me or being friendly in anyway, almost Stand offish, which wasnt brilliant, he couldn't even be bothered to put a pizza on a plate, instead just put it in a box, despite the fact I was sat in the restaurant. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay.

Clean hotel Breakfast was good but very basic Spacious rooms but very basic , no walldrobe , no bedside table, on bed just two small pillows which i found them very uncofortable Just one key card to enter room Bathroom clean but with out a toilet brush , wierd !! Free WiFi only for 30 mins

Literally beside the bus station, excellent location close to the centre. The staff were so helpful, even gave us a very early check-in which they didn't have to do, must have taken pity on our worn out faces from getting up at 3.30am to travel to Braintree for a concert. The room was so clean and quiet too, beds very comfortable. Bar was open for us returning from concert, couldn't fault in any way whatsoever....perfect
