Spent 3 nights here, had a lovely time. The hotel is quite reasonable priced and is almost faultless. The hotel is really close to the beach (5 mins) and pretty close to the town centre/restaurants (~ 10 mins), so great location. The hotel has a real cozy feel to it, filled with lots of wonderful antique photos/pictures/mirrors/ornaments. It's very welcoming and homely. Did not have any problems with noise from other properties, or from other rooms within the hotel which is always nice. The room and ensuite were very clean and well presented. Towels being provided was good, plenty of towels for showing and drying hands separately. The room was a good size, plenty of space to walk around the bed, relax, and get on with life. The kettle and cups were great, the kettle is small enough to fill up in the sink, but large enough to make 2 nice size hot drinks. The owner was such a lovely, happy, caring man. Happily chatted to us about the area, things to do/see, history of the hotel and some of the city. The cooked breakfast was a brilliant way to start the day, you walk down the stairs to the dining room for breakfast and you walked to your pre-allocated table with your room number on it. The cooked breakfast consisted of: 2 rashers of bacon, a sausage, a fried egg, a hash brown, cooked baked beans, and a cooked salad tomato. This came with toast of your choice (white or brown bread) if you wanted. Also given with breakfast was tea/coffee, and a glass of refreshing orange juice. There was better and jam/marmalade in individually sealed tubs to go with the toast which was a really nice addition. There was the option for cereal instead and there was a variety of cereals to choose from. We hadn't even been sat down 5 minutes and were already being served with our cooked breakfast. It was good, very hot and properly cooked, with the plates being lovely and hot too. The only small issue I found with the hotel was the wifi, but it's to be expected in a property with so many floors. We stayed on the third floor and the wifi worked in most of the room, the only place I couldn't get the wifi to work was on the side of the bed near the window (furthest place from the front of the hotel). So honestly, not a big issue. Pretty faultless hotel, and staying experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for someone to stay in Bournemouth!
