The Chocolate Box Hotel

Stayed at Chocolate Box in Kashmir and absolutely loved it. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed with warm wooden interiors that give a true Kashmiri feel. What made the stay truly unforgettable was Latif uncle — such a kind, humble, and down-to-earth host. He treated us like family and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kashmir. A perfect blend of comfort, charm, and heartfelt hospitality. Definitely a 5-star experience!

We booked last June, we paid 140.00 for one night. Advertised with a double deluxe room. Breakfast restaurant etc. When we arrived had to phone someone away from the hotel to get our pin. No way was the room deluxe. No access to food of any sort No staff in the building for the duration of my stay. Our neighbours booked a couple of months ago, no facilities Advertised and they paid 75.00. Disgusting I think . 😡

A very warm welcome and a lovely room. Bed was comfy and the hotel was quiet for a good night's sleep. A short walk to the beach and pier, and also not too far to the town centre. My only negative was the bathroom is tiny. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Good for a short stay The room was bright and clean. Furniture and furnishings were in very good condition. The bathroom was clean and more functional - showers was very narrow to stand in. Overalla very pleasant place to stay for a few days.

EXCELLENT SHORT STAY Very comfortable bed & room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had ground floor room and were very happy that we didn’t have stairs to climb. Breakfast was excellent, very well cooked and served hot. Only criticism I could make if I had to make one is, no bar and no possibility of snack or sandwich during the day or evening which would have made it 5* in my view. Manuela on reception was brilliant.
