Park Central Hotel

Large room although very sparce and could do with a facelift. Good breakfast. Misleading parking as advertised as a reduced rate but in check out was told this no longer applies. Good location near beach.

When booking I had email confirmation that we would have a blue badge parking space for duration of the stay next to hotel on arrival no blue badge parking space but a standard space which was first come first serve basis this was not a disability space struggled to get mobility aids from the car and would have been blocked in . On booking was told rooms would be on ground floor and next door to each other they were not they were on lower floor level had to get lift down and could not fit Mobilty scooter in lift and one other person and rooms were not next to each other on this basis we left and did not stay totally misled and would not recommend this hotel to people with disability or mobility issues be warned

Hotel was very clean, staff were extremely polite and helpful, but, only 1 socket in signature room, had an extension lead that already had plugs in, tv had no signal. Bed was very hard and pillows were wafer thin. View was exceptional. We were on 5th floor, room 505, very tired looking room, not much space at all around the bed. I would have preferred a room on 3rd floor as am claustrophobic so unable to use lift. Breakfast I was disappointed with, it was cooked to order, hot, but 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon and 1 slice of toast each was not enough, for £15 each it could have been 2 sausage, 2 rashers of bacon and 2 toast. Would not recommend or visit again, looking at tge hotel next door, Hermitage was much more modern facilities! We had no sockets by the bed or anything.

Just back from a 4 day 3 night stay with friends. Lovely time. Hotel was in a perfect location, just by the beach & all the goings on. Excellent classy restaurant/bar (The Crab) attached which we had drinks in every night. (We weren’t fish eaters). Friday night had a fab pianist playing. Staff amazing. Breakfast great choice. Table service. Weekend staff not as good as the week staff though. Rooms a bit dated and shower small but wouldn’t put us off staying again. Just expected more of Bournemouth itself. Seems to have gone downhill and in need of investment. It lives off the beach but that’s it really. Glad we’ve been but wouldn’t return! But if anyone is thinking of staying here I’d recommend this hotel. Staff were great in all aspects of the hotel. 24 hour reception. Housekeeping daily. Beds comfy. Spacious bedrooms and shower room. Visited a few places between Sandbanks and Boscombe which also need investment. Open top narrated bus from Bournemouth beach was informative & fun. Enjoy if you do go. We did but just wouldn’t return!

Perfectly situated for the BIC, The Pavilion, the beach and Bournemouth Gardens. Parking on site limited but reduced rate avaliable in the BIC which is over the road. Hotel very tired looking and needs a complete upgrade. Absolutely not a 4* IMO. Reception basically and unwelcoming. Our room was spacious (401) and clean but only one easy chair. Complimentary tea, coffee, water (from Lidl) and nice biscuits albeit crumbs! Kettle, ironing board, iron and hairdryer provided. Plenty of room in wardrobe. Stayed one night and had English breakfast which was adequate but served warm and no pastries or fresh fruit on offer. Disappointing of a 4* Hotel. Right, positives over with..... duvet was cheapest polyester filled, duvet cover ripped and very thin. Pillows passable but decided not to check the mattress as really didn't want to know what I was sleeping on. Decor old and dated. The window had a restrictor ✔️ but the window catch was so loose decided to keep it closed after struggling to open it initially. Reported this. The shower room was spacious and clean. HOWEVER, the hot sink tap was loose and moved when turned on and off, the shower hose fixing was bent and twisted so the pressure was compromised and it leaked, both sloppy plumbing. The shower tray filled rapidly with water after a brief shower and the shower door came off the bottom roller. OH used the toilet brush handle to clean/empty the waste water drain of a clump of other guests body hair! Disgusting. This was reported to management. Management said there was an issue with maintenance and eventually, after a couple of emails and reporting it at the time of our stay, offered a 50% discount agains any future stay. We will not be returning to this place and you should check other reviews to get a balanced opinion before booking.
