Lovely hotel in a good location a 10 minute downhill walk to the beach.
The Spa was wonderful spent every morning in there it had a Sauna and a Steam room .
Breakfast was good and my room was clean with a Shower and a comfy bed.
We will be back

Bathroom is tiny, toilet is a tight fit between a wall and the bath. The air conditioning unit made an intrusive noise several times during the night. ( loud whirring for about 4 seconds) Despite switching it off, it still happened, so decided to carry on running it. The location is good, being a short ( but steep) walk to the BIC. But I suppose for the price oaid it wasnt too bad, but would not return.

We recently stayed at the Connaught Lodge and there were definitely a few highlights, along with some areas that could use improvement. Positives: The location is good—just a short walk to the beach, which made for easy, relaxing days by the sea. Breakfast was another standout: tasty options, and a great way to start the day. Negatives: Unfortunately, the room didn’t quite match the standard we’d hoped for. The bathroom was *extremely* small—unless you enjoy brushing your teeth while sitting on the toilet, it may not be for you. The shower curtain looked quite tired (old, yellowed, and in need of replacing), and the bath plug didn’t work properly, which was frustrating. The general upkeep of the hotel could definitely be improved. There were noticeable scuff marks along the skirting boards, which gave the space a neglected feel. A little extra attention to maintenance and cleanliness would go a long way in making the experience more enjoyable. Overall The Connaught Lodge has potential with its location and breakfast offering, but it needs some TLC to bring it up to standard. Worth a visit if you’re not too fussy, but don’t go in expecting luxury.

We were in the Connaught lodge, which is part out the Connaught. Very comfortable, good parking Upgraded to a suite in the Connaught lodge , nice to have a separate room but quite sparse needed a table and a lamp. Food was very good and service was excellent. Had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Some dim wit in marketing thought it would be a good idea to charge people £10 a day for parking at the hotel. Due to this charge, I will never go back to this hotel. Greed is never good and will leave you bankrupt - shame on you. Rooms are clean, but the spa could do with a clean

Nice weekend stay
Had a good stay at the Connaught Lodge. We were visiting with some friends so booked 2 rooms and check-in was smooth, apart from there being quite a big queue at the check-in desk. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
As some previous reviews have stated, the rooms in the lodge are a little outdated and could do with some freshening up (repainting, replacing old furniture etc). However, they were still pleasant to stay in and had all the basic amenities required, including air conditioning. A note on accessibility, there was also only 1 small lift in the lodge building which only really had enough room for 1 person and 1 suitcase.
The main building of the hotel is lovely and we really enjoyed using the bar and spa facilities. 2 of us also had spa treatments at the Bluewater Cottage which is within the car park area.
The breakfast was great, both in terms of taste and selection, and both mornings we found we were able to get a table straight away.
Overall, this is a good hotel which is in an ideal location for reaching the main attractions of Bournemouth. To become great, I feel they need to modernise and clean up the rooms a bit.
