Marseille 3rd arrondissement of Marseille Hotels

Hotel was lovely. Breakfast was fine. Location was very close to the station, so convenient. Marseille on the whole is quite a dirty city, so I can see why some people say the hotel is in a dodgy area, but the location was fine. Very convenient.

I arrived early but I got a room immediately which is a good thing But I really don’t know why I have already paid for the rental, the hotel still asks guest to clean the kitchen and throw away the trash can before check out? If not, they will charge for the clean fee. Then why should I live in an apart hotel? And I have already paid for the city tax upon check-in, but the receptionist still charge me for another time of city tax? It makes people so upset.! What a weird hotel…

The hotel was very new, very clean. The receptionists were very helpful, very attentive and very cheerful. A 100 euro deposit is taken at the entrance. However, it was returned to my account the day I left. It was within walking distance to everywhere. The tram stop and Desire Clay metro were very close. The price was very reasonable for the service provided. The fact that the beds were higher than normal standards and the windows did not open was a bit of a problem. But it had central air conditioning. As a result, we were very pleased.

Hotel is good, how the receptionist treat the customers is VERY BAD! He told us with high tone that our booking is not in the system, although we already paid for it & can show our booking confirmation :)) It's is very stupid. Then the fault is on the hotel. That the owner booked with his name (not my name). Actually it is okay. But how the employee (receptionist) behave so bad in handling the customers is just SHAMEFUL. He should get a proper training in Service and Customer Handling.

Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value

The overall facilities and services are far above the price (for the European average), the communication is smooth, and after a heart-to-heart talk, one of the rooms was successfully upgraded to a harbor view. This kind of thoughtful service is basically not seen in Europe, and it is rare in China (I am a Marriott Platinum in China, which may not be high enough) The hotel restaurant is also good. It was windy and rainy on the first night of stay, so we ate directly in the restaurant. It cost less than 200 euros for three people, which is much more comfortable than those tourist restaurants. A wonderful stay. The concierge and staff was very helpful and friendly. Amazing view on the balcony and very spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Will be staying here for future trips and highly recommend this for anyone looking to spend time in Marseilles! View from the room:

Great location with friendly staff and very comprehensive amenities. Having two sinks - one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom - was very convenient. However, the hotel doesn’t actually have on-site laundry service for guests, and the toilet seat and toilet paper holder both fell off by the second night. Our room was also never made up in the three nights we stayed there. But for this price, I am very happy with my hotel experience here!!
