Boston, MA… It is one of those cities where you ask yourself why aren’t you living here. Home to many well-known colleges, the arcs of the American Revolution, and everything that’s unique to the New England region of America. Tourists, college families, and businessmen flock the old fashion streets from many competitive accommodations in the Boston area. The Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel is a Boutique Luxury Hotel located razor close to the Boston Common. Given the mixed reviews I read before my stay, I was quite skeptical about staying at this hotel. I could have chosen any other hotel like my comfort brand the InterContinental, but I was on budget and couldn’t use my Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night there. Therefore, I decided to risk it by staying here for my two nights in Boston. My first ever trip to Boston took place between September 29th to October 1st. As the Diamond Elite Ambassador Member, I booked the 1 King Premium Room, but was later upgraded upon arrival to the 1 King Premium Skyline Corner View Room upon my arrival. The room costed $660 for two nights after a deduction of my Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night Voucher. After a quick subway ride from Logan Airport, I made the 10 minute walk to the hotel from the State Station. After walking into the casual, posh, yet vibrant hotel lobby, I was welcomed by Liz. Liz briefed me on my room upgrade, the Kimpton hotel features such as the Better Sorts Social Club restaurant, and the daily hotel traditions at Kimpton like the Morning Coffee Table or Social Wine Hour. I had a very nice experience checking-in with Liz. Down the cozy looking hall, through the posh elevator, up 15 levels is my room 1605. As mentioned it the Skyline View Corner Premium King Room. The size of the room is at 350 SQFT or 32 SQM. To me it is a room size comfortably sufficient for two people. In this corner room when you enter the door is the minibar table and bathroom containing a Toto Toilet, Sink, and Spa Shower with Atelier Bloem Shower Supplies. Through the wooden floored hallways is a nice closet, followed by the bedroom itself. The bedroom contains the Comfortable King Bed, an oversized desk, a TV, a leather chair and ottoman. The corner view shows the Boston Common on one angle, and the other shows Paul Revere’s Graveyard. The overall design of the room is like a cozy modern study hall, except with the hotel room features. I do like this room and its features. One thing to improve on for future reference is to start replacing the COVID-era plastic cups at the sinks with real glass cups. I think that’s something the hotel should do to bring it a step towards absolute perfection. Making sure your stay is up to your perception of perfection would be the Assistant General Manager Michael. Micheal is not someone I actually met in person, rather he (or someone who relives him on off-shift hours) hides behind a cellphone standing by as your asynchronous butler via text message. Went with another couple and we had a fantastic time. This hotel was so close to so many amenities and great restaurants (all in walking distances). Love how you can have coffee/tea at the lounge before or after you go back to the room…loved the free water near the elevators. Most of the staff are super friendly. The rooms were pretty basic and met are needs. Now you would ask why I gave it a 3 star rating….well, this whole trip was paid by my daughters for their father’s birthday early September…3 weeks later we got charged again… my husband left 3 phone messages and an email to the manager at this hotel BUT never received a response….he was totally responsible for me giving this hotel a 3 star rating!!!

What a lovely hotel! We stayed here for one night with our two small children and it exceeded our expectations. While checking in our children were each given a “Junior Chef” Omni swag bag with Annie’s bunny grahams, Honest organic juice box, and crayons. The gentleman at the front desk was so pleasant and switched around our suite to a spacious corner suite (406, The John Hancock Suite) so our children could watch the excitement of Boston from our windows. The suite was in fantastic condition- the only blemish was a slightly chipped/cracked bath tub. There were Nest toiletries and metal shelves above the toilet for dop kit storage. There was only one robe in the closet and slippers were brought up when I asked. We booked the “Rosé Rendezvous Package”, which includes a bottle of rosé wine. However, the amenity which was brought up was Chandon sparkling wine, along with two Boston Cream pies. I was totally fine with that because I love bubbly, but still a strange switch to do without acknowledgement. Another strange happening was our bill at checkout had a random $10 charge for Room Service that we weren’t responsible for. When disputing this, we were told the order came at 10pm (long after the 4 of us were asleep). They quickly removed it from the bill and handled it very well and kindly, but it was still weird. The only significant confusion/hiccup regarding our booking was prior to arrival I was told that they cannot guarantee a crib until arrival (?! How stressful!). We travel a ton with our children and that was a first. I called again a few days prior and was given a slightly different answer but was also told the crib was “very small”. So, given all this uncertainty we brought our own Pack and Play. I caught a glimpse of the crib and will clarify that it is comparable to the Pack and Play in size and would have fit my 2 year old daughter just fine. Car valet was professional and easy and luggage delivery and pickup was very prompt. All in all it was a great, short stay!

The hotel restaurant is convenient and convenient. The staff were friendly. Location is good. The room I stayed in was wonderful.

As many reviews have stated the rooms are very compact “small” but met our needs for several day stay before leaving on our cruise. The front desk staff is amazing and the lobby is really nice. The fitness center is really nice also. Very convenient location.

Not sure how the whole vacation club thing works (we are not members) but we booked direct through the Marriott app and this was for all purposes no different than any normal hotel booking for us. The location is great if you want to do any of the tourist highlights in Boston as you can pretty much walk everywhere from here. Best thing about this hotel is the history and the views. Lots of cool stuff around like the customs memorabilia, the massive original, dome in the lobby and being able to see the inner workings of the giant clocks on the outside of the building. There is a children's playroom, theater, gym, etc... but the best part is the 26th floor wraparound observation deck which makes staying here worth it just for the views. Make sure to check it out during day and night. After dinner, grab some pastries in North End and grab one of the tables on the deck and enjoy the night views - you won't be disappointed. The rooms are a bit dated and housekeeping could have been better but they are nice enough. Suite with a king bedroom and queen sleeper sofa was perfect for 4. Sleeper sofa in American Leather brand and thus more comfortable than the folding sofas with bars in the middle. One thing we could do without was the sales pitch, twice, as we were checking out. Also, we don't typically do breakfast in US hotels in any case but we saw the breakfast while grabbing coffee and have to say it looked awful as an all prepackaged thing that you grab and pay for a la carte by filling out a form, and was things like pre buttered rolls wrapped in saran wrap.

This hotel is across the street from Quincy Market. The location is very convenient, and it is also close to the subway. Although it is not new, it still looks good. The front desk service is patient. There is free hot drinks, fruits and drinking water in the lobby to bring to the room. Of course, a ”facility fee” of 25 knives will be charged per room per night. The bed was big enough. Because the child is already a teenager, we opened a separate room for two children (15 and 20 years old). There is no need for a family of young children to have a room for a family of four. There are many points near breakfast, you can find it by turning right. The hotel's own breakfast is also okay, the single portion is a bit large, and the average Chinese can't finish it. Note that the breakfast included in the hotel package is only a limit of 25 dollars. Another thing to remind is that I booked a three-night stay there. After the first night, there was no consumption. After returning the next day, I found that there was an apparently wiped item on the wash basin in the bathroom. Cloth, is it a hint to me that Tips will wipe the cup with this dirty cloth tomorrow? Hey, so I put two beautiful knives in the room on the third morning and came back and took it away.

This hotel is very popular on weekends. The hotel is very new, very clean and comfortable, and the location is good. The bed is big and there is no kettle.
