Boston Hotels with Bars

Great location for exploring Boston with subway and bus service a very short walk from hotel. Subway is cheap and very efficient way to get around. Hotel rooms are spacious and reception team are very welcoming and helpful. If you want to visit the theatres or Chinatown both are only a few minutes walk. Like any hotel there are downsides.... The includes breakfast option is not correct, you get an allowance towards breakfast which does not cover the cost, also breakfast service can be very good or very bad over the 8 days we stayed we experienced both. Evening meals are OK but you can get much better a few minutes walk away. Whilst the hotel is generally well sound insulated for an old building which has been sympathetically converted to an hotel it does not help on a Saturday night, The local nightclub is extremely popular with long queue's down the street, the ones who cannot get in seem to have a weekly rave on the adjoining multi storey car park until around 3am. The noise is incredible and despite this being a weekly occurrence the hotels complaints seem to be ignored by the local authorities. My advice is to either be prepared and accept the inconvenience or avoid staying on a Saturday Night, the same applies to all the other hotels in the immediate vicinity, especially the one with the Candibar nightclub in its basement! Overall a good hotel which could be even be great if the onsite restaurant was improved, the ”includes breakfast” listing was correctly worded, and the local authorities took action about the unsociable noise. Final word of praise for the super reception staff who really go the extra mile to help you enjoy your stay.

The hotel is about a 8 minute walk from JFK UMass T station; from there it’s quite convenient to get to downtown Boston. The room is clean and large, albeit the furnishings are a bit dated. The bed was comfortable and there was good chairs and furniture available for a couple to use. Didn’t try the breakfast or the cafe, but it seemed decent from what we could see.

The hotel room's thermostat was set at 68 degrees F when we entered but we found it to be quite warm, so we turned the thermostat down to 65 degrees, then further to 62 degrees because the room was still quite stifling. Around 2:00 a.m., uncomfortable and sweating while trying to sleep, we called the front desk and told them that we had lowered the thermostat to 60 degrees F but that the heat was just as warm as when we first entered the room (there was no way to measure it but I'm guessing it was close to 80 degrees). The front desk told us that the thermostat only controls the heat; that is, lowering the temperature will not actually cool the room or turn the heat off. They told us that the only way to stop the heat was to turn it OFF. We were also advised to open a window, which we did; but the noise from the city outside did not help us get a good night's sleep at all, and the room took a while to cool down enough to be able to sleep comfortably. This one issue---the extremely warm and uncomfortable room---is enough to make us not return to this hotel in the future.

Excellent location a few minutes from airport. Shuttle comes automatically and about every ten to fifteen minutes. My favorite free breakfast is here. They have made-to- order omelets with many ingredient choices. Good bed, big TV, friendly staff. They also have an evening reception most nights. We like to walk also to the Italian deli market three blocks away. They do have a luggage storage room if you have to take a flight out later in the day.

The first day we checked in happened to be the first day the employees went on strike and rallied and marched outside the hotel. It was so noisy that they started beating gongs and drums at 7 a.m. the next morning. The noise lasted all day. The quarrel ended only in the afternoon of the next day. Rare experience.

Next to the public library, there is a Starbucks restaurant downstairs The environment inside is quite ordinary, and basically no laundry items are provided Water also needs to be paid: you can see the night view of Boston city There is nothing to take pictures of in the hotel, just take a look at the library

The hotel is in a good location and has a nice view outside. It's about 30 minutes' walk from Newbury Street. The room is nice and spacious, and the decoration is relatively new, similar to the InterContinental in China, but the room is smaller than that in China, because the view outside the window of this room type is not very good, and the house opposite is a bit depressing, so the room type is very important. I feel that the attitude of the front desk is not very good. I wanted to upgrade the room, but the front desk guy was so slow that I couldn't stand it. He didn't seem very willing to help me upgrade the room.

The front desk clerk was very kind. Because I didn’t speak English well, it was really embarrassing when I checked in😅. Later, I found a Chinese (hotel waiter) to translate for me. The location is also very convenient. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Chinatown and 10 Minutes to the tea party attraction, take an Uber to the city center for 14-18 yuan

The Verb Hotel is one of a kind hotel. Located right next to the legendary Fenway Park, it has its own vibe and nice amenities. I love all the old school records and had an opportunity to catch up with Prince, Bob Dylan among others. The deco is retro which is really nice and fitting. I also enjoyed the 24 hour hot and cold coffee on tab. Staffs are super friendly. Everything looks and feels clean. The restaurant onsite and nearly are decent.

The location is very good. It is within walking distance of the Red Line and the Green Line. It is next to the Boston Common Park. It is very convenient to eat and supermarket around. The sofa in the room can be directly turned into a sofa bed, which is no problem for two children to sleep. We stayed for four nights, and we didn't pay an extra $140 as written on Ctrip. Instead, we paid $30 a night, plus some taxes, a total of an extra $186.
