En heerlijk knus hotelletje midden in het oude centrum (La Candelaria) van Bogota. De eigenaresse spreekt vloeiend Spaans en als jij geen Spaans spreekt zal ze haar stinkende best doen om met handen en voeten duidelijk te maken hoe het ontbijt georganiseerd is, waar de kamer is en waar je in de buurt wat lekkers kan eten. Het hotel springt uit elkaar van authenticiteit. Het dakterras is een scène voor een James Bond film en als je vroeg wakker wordt kun je genieten hoe de zon achter de bergen opkomt en kun je zien hoe de Montserrat door de zon in het licht gezet wordt. De eigenaar spreekt Engels en als hij merkt dat ik een heel klein beetje Spaans probeer te spreken doet hij zijn stinkende best om de woorden voor mij zo langzaam en duidelijk mogelijk uit te spreken. Tot slot is er de binnenplaats waar je de koning te rijk voelt. Je krijgt een tropisch gevoel midden in een drukke binnenstad.

Charming place close to action but quiet
The place is charming with a lovely patio for breakfast and a rooftop terrace and social room where we could hang out. The staff was especially helpful when we arrived and our taxi driver tried to scam us. They paid the driver in cash a reasonable amount and told him to leave. We reimbursed the hotel the next day when we had correct cash.

I am so glad I chose to stay at Hotel Muisca on this trip to Bogota. The people are fantastically amicable, the space is beautiful and cozy. The beds are extremely comfortable, breakfasts offered were always served on time and with grace, and the Muisca images and paintings made me happy. I would recommend Hotel Muisca and look forward to staying there again upon my next visit to La Candelaria. Mil gracias.

Stayed here on the last night of my vacation in Colombia. The hotel is very eclectic and has tons of charm. Located in a history rich neighbourhood, within short walking distances of cafes, restaurants, galleries and historic buildings. Room and common areas were all clean and nicely put together. Would stay again.

Placé dans haut de la vieille ville. Personnel très aimable. Chambres correcte. Très pratique pour visiter Bogota. Petit déjeuner sur une terrasse avec vue sur la ville. Charmant et un peu dans son jus mais très propre. Je vous le recommande
