A wonderful place to stay. 15 minutes taxi ride for the downtown area (staff will arrange a ride for you). The restaurant is first class, delicious and fresh ingredients. They also provide a few nice extras with your meal free of change. The rooms are clean and the bed is extraordinarily comfortable. But the best thing is the staff. warm and friendly and happy to help with any aspect of being in Habana. I can not recommend this place highly enough.

let me start by saying the hotel isn't awful. big rooms in a colonial style building - however, I must urge everyone to avoid this as this place is in a neighbourhood that even some of the people from bogota would avoid. The area is seedy and specially on Sundays, it is turns into a seedy flea market. One occasion, i was chased by someone who appears to be handing me something illegal. The hotel is also listed weird in Google maps and Uber and I twice was took into a different area of town. I am not sure how hotels can say 4 stars or 5 stars if location and safety isn't factored in. I definitely felt unsafe. This is also aggravated by the fact that they lock the doors and you need to buzz to get in or out - for safety purpose I suppose. But if you are waiting 2 or 5 minutes outside on a Sunday or at midnight where the homeless across the street would knock on your behalf - I definitely felt on edge. There are other reviews here that have a similar sentiment and I just want to share mine in hopes of helping someone else pick a different area.

Tolles Hotel in einem uralten Haus mit einen schönen Innenhof. War hier schon einmal vor 2 Jahren. Super Lage im Zentrum von Bogota. Super Preisleistung und freundliches Personal. Standart Junior Zimmer groß und geräumig. Man kann zu Fuß zu der Monserrate-Seilbahn laufen.

Right down town walkable to Gold Museum, Botero and other art galleries, close cheap local restaurants. City sidewalks have huge leg breaking holes, dog and human feces. Not safe to go out at night, but inside hotel very safe. Older Spanish construction with courtyard.

Tardaron dos días en tener wifi, la habitación que inicialmente me dieron para dos personas era con cama queen, iba con mi hermano. En qué cabeza cabe que tenemos que dormir dos personas en la misma cama, dejé accidentalmente mis llaves en la habitación y me intentaron cobrar el cerrajero. De ahí en fuera es un buen lugar para descansar.

The building is really nice and staff are very helpful. Location of the hotel is very convenient although it is in a street that needs to be maintained. If you are staying during the weekend beware of a street market that happens every Sunday morning and they start setting up early, very noisy outside during the weekend, other than that the room was really spacious (got room 1) and really clean.
