Good but could do better
Whilst we did enjoy our stay as always I make some comments to help the hotel improve for next time. We have stayed at Karia many times over several years because it is a small ,quiet, clean, hotel set in beautiful grounds yet close to Bodrum harbour and town centre. I appreciate that the hotel has been refurbished throughout but it remains old fashioned in terms of inconsistent WIFI connection and lack of charging points in rooms. Also please note that the small step down into the bathroom from the bedroom is potentially dangerous and requires a danger ***** and/or a warning notice. In terms of service, I found this sadly lacking on this occasion. When we went to the pool after check in, there were no clean towels available and we had to search for staff to tell them this and then search for them again to ask for a drink and a snack. And then there was only chips or meatballs available. The plates were not cleared from the poolside when we were finished or hours later when we left the pool. Check-in did not provide information about WIFI, breakfast or hotel general facilities such as times of breakfast, the availability of lunch,,dinner or poolside refreshments, the beach shuttle or the fact that the 2 hotel bars and hammam are closed.Furthermore, There is no information in the room explaining these things. The booking website says there are 2 bars, a sauna and a beach shuttlebus..Addtioinally some tourist information/leaflets at reception would be a nice touch. A

Went with a group of forty out of season. Apparently one of the oldest hotels in the area and the rooms slightly reflect this - no USB chargers and mains sockets at ground level. Great pool and friendly staff, big rooms but beware mosquito bites after sitting out on the balcony!

pour faire simple, le plus : la grandeur de la chambre + le balcon. Le moins : bruyant, travaux, coq. Matelas pas trop confortable On était les seuls dans tout l'hôtel, apparemment l'hôtel ferme en novembre. On s'est fait réveillé d'abord par le coq ä 6h30 du matin , puis des travaux à 200 mètres de l'hôtel, très bruyant (marteau piqueur) . Je ne comprends pas que l'on nous a pas proposé une chambre moins bruyante alors que l'hôtel était vide !!?? Les réceptionnistes sont sympa mais ne parle pas ou peu l'anglais. Réseau Wifi mauvais. Le matelas n'était pas trop confortable on sentait un peu les ressorts, mais pour quelques jours ca va. ( ca serait bien peut-être, de mettre un sur-matelas) sinon la chambre était très correct, propre et grande, un peu vieillotte , mais ca va , ca passe. Le petit déjeuner, ca va , sans plus, mais bon ca se comprends parce que on était seul dans l'hôtel. Le café était vraiment dégueu, de la soupe, je comprends pas pourquoi on nous a pas proposé un café Nespresso , alors qu'il y avait une machine à disposition ?? . La piscine est très belle le jardin également, mais l'eau était trop froide pour moi. L'hôtel se trouve à 10 min à pied de la Marina (Restaurant) et 15 min a pied des magasins. Super chouette il y a une grande Migros juste à coté. Pas très loin le centre commercial Oasis, on y trouve des magasins un peu plus chic. Et maintenant une info de dingue !! Il y a juste un cabinet dentaire à une minute à coté de la Migros. Vous pouvez y allez en confiance, mon ami s'est fait réparer une dent , ils ont été super , et pas cher! Préférer les chambres sur le jardin, peut-être que l'on entend moins le coq et les travaux. la question étant , si j'y retournerait ou pas ? je suis vraiment mitigé, l'hotel était vraiment bien , mais le bruit est pour moi no-way.

Brilliant hotel with great facilities. The sauna has been closed since covid otherwise all other facilities are open.
