Nice quiet stay at nice hotel south of Puerto Vallarta. This was about my tenth trip to PV, typically stay at smaller places in old town and wanted to try something different. I liked the setting (against the mountains on an old dusty cobblestone road), included breakfast buffet, large rooms and quiet pool setting, OXXO right next door and easy access to mismaloya bus stop. restaurant staff very friendly, pool guy works hard and helped to get a taxi on my last day. Beautiful hotel! Note: don't expect Puerto Vallarta night life...not a sports bar to be found in town, but if you want to get away, this is the place.

Some people want to spend money on a swim up bar and beaches but if you're planning on staying in Mismaloya on a budget this is a great place. Clean, nice courtyard and pool and a great price. Rooms even have a kitchenette if you're wanting to save a little more money. That said, Mismaloya's not really much of a metropolis so there aren't a lot of shopping options. The town has a few restaurants the more expensive the closer you get to the beach but the hotel restaurant has a great breakfast. Can't say much for the bar though as it doesn't really look like anyone uses it (rusted bar stools). The hotel is popular with gringos and Mexicans.

We chose a budget hotel, so you get what you pay for. More kitchen supplies would have helped us. 6.0 Liked · Small local hotel a short walk from the beach and the beach restaurants. With a few exceptions, it was a quiet place to stay and we enjoyed listening to the birds. The staff were all very nice and helped get us an extra chair and a sharp knife. Rosio at the front desk and Jesus in the restaurant were great. The resident dog, was very sweet and well behaved. Besides some poo on the wall as mentioned below, the housekeeping was very good. We had fresh sheets every day and the floor was always cleaned as well. Disliked · ROOM: There was a small kitchen as advertised, but it was not usable as it was not stocked with much. No toaster or microwave, no bowls, some cutlery, one pot with no lid, one lid with no pot - do not expect anything to be provided and you will not be disappointed. Nothing to wash the dishes with so we had to go shopping right away, which was not what we planned. The security lock was broken on our door, so all there was was the doorknob lock. We jammed a chair under the door knob at night. There was no window screen in the kitchen so we could not open it for a breeze due to biting bugs. BATHROOM: Sometimes there was no hot water for the shower, and sometimes it just trickled out slowly. We had to clean someone's poo off the wall above the toilet paper holder as it was several days and the housekeeping never noticed it - gross! There were some chairs outside the rooms, but they are filthy and need a good cleaning. POOL: A man came every day to keep it clean, but watch out as there are so many broken tiles - you could easily cut your foot. It was a bit cold for most people. It needs to be drained and repaired. The hot tub was empty and looked like it had been that way for years. They need to get a few more loungers, as they were always taken.

Very nice hotel in a wonderful community. We felt very safe and the people were super friendly. Don’t forget to bring dish soap and big spray. The pool is lacking some tiles and is very cold however it was very refreshing after a day in the hot sun. The hot tub is not working and has a tarp over it. We did get the buffet breakfast once which included pancakes, eggs, beans, pork, granola, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee was very good. We found the beds a bit hard and the pillows flat for our liking but by the end of the vacation we were used to it. The hotel is a short walk to some fantastic restaurants (El Patio Del Caule was our absolute favourite) the beach and bus into Puerto Vallarta, We would definitely come again.

We stayed 1 night in January 2023 at this hotel. On their website, it says this: IF YOU FIND A LOWER RATE ON THE INTERNET, WE IMPROVE IT. We made our reservation online (we don't have a call line because we are tourists) and left a note of the price we found. They never wanted to respect this agreement, with any bogus arguments. What a waste of time. We explained to them that their site is fake and that it is their company, but they seem to dissociate themselves from everything. Also, be careful, there is a kitchenette in the room, but they do not provide dish soaps or cleaning cloths. There isn't even glass in the bathroom.... A window in our room didn't lock. The maintenance man came to try to repair it. He finally put a piece of wood to block the opening of the window. We do not recommend this hotel.

Some critters...which staff took care of in a timely manner. Nice pool...cold to many...as are most pools in the area. Very safe. The restaurant is serving buffet breakfast daily...mostly Mexican cuisine plus pancakes. A bit south of Old Town

Unfortunately, there were quite a few difficulties with the room. There are bed bugs, which should be taken care of (we thought they were mosquito bites at first, but they are definitely bed bugs). The room was quite large (two bedroom); very noisy; the wires sticking out of the walls should be fixed as our friend who is an electrician said it's dangerous; the kitchen needs more utensils, china and kitchen supplies; and we didn't have any hot water for the first few days. "Rustic" is an apt description of the hotel. We were responsible for doing our dishes, which I am fine with, but dish soap, wash cloths and hand towels were not provided so we had to go out and buy them. Breakfast and the kind staff were the best part of staying there.
