Wyndham Bloomington - Mall of America

I have stayed at this hotel for over 20 years and always had free parking for this trip. Suddenly I am charged $10 per day to park. This cost me an extra $150. I was not happy! Also the room was dirty with sticky stuff on the bathroom counter and the bedsheets. The lamp beside the beds did not have any lightbulbs in them and when the worker came to replace them. They only gave us one. I will never stay at this hotel again.

It was very loud all night long, hard to get any sleep

We intended on staying 3 evenings at the Wyndham Bloomington. We traveled and arrived late in the evening. Once we entered the room, it smelled of mildew and water damage. Upon closer look, there was mold growing in the bathroom, linens were stained and/or unclean. The carpets and bedding were damp with humidity and/or water and the AC did not work. They stated breakfast was served in the lobby. It was a paper bag with 3 stale granola bars, a bottled water, and warm yogurt. When we notified the front desk attendant of the state of the room we were told there wasn't a manager present to talk to. We didn't get any help or apology. We decided to check out early, with no support, and to take a loss as far the cost of the remainder of our intended stay.

The dispenser for shampoo was empty and a lot of black hair in shower and bathroom. For Norwegians: You should watch the movie ‘Fly over Norway’. It is spectacular and much better than ‘Fly over America’ i Mall of America. Pluss taste the Cinnabon there

Truly a disappointing experience. Advertised hot breakfast, but there was none. We were told rudely at the desk that there would be bagels, pastries, fruit, juice, granola bars and coffee. Got to breakfast and there were granola bars, juice and overripe bananas (had to open 3 bananas before finding one that wasn’t brown). The pool was great, however the pool deck was disgustingly coated in algae. Our room was not once cleaned by housekeeping over the 3 night stay. We had to call the front desk for towels and toilet paper and were told that housekeeping had gone home, and they would try and get us those items. The room was so hot, and even though our air was turned down to 62, the temp was constantly in the mid 70s. And paying to park in a parking lot is ridiculous.

The hotel was under remodel but didn't affect the stay in anyway. 2 out of 3 big ice machines were broken. Also thought it was a little ridiculous that we had to pay to park at the hotel.
