Blackpool Promenade Hotel

This is the kind of place you wipe your feet on the way out! Avoid at all cost! We booked this hotel for a one night stay over New Years through ***********. The photos on the website looked great. Simple but clean and all we needed just for a one night stay. Biggest catfish going! When we arrived at “reception” the manager didn’t greet us or barley acknowledge us. We were then taken up to our rooms. While walking through the corridor it smelt musky, damp and we could smell ****. Soon as we walked in the room we saw the absolute state they were in. Nothing like the photos. The shower was full of mould and painted tiles. God knows why you think that was a good idea! A Prison shower is cleaner. Everything that was metal was rusted! Yes, even the curtain pole. The carpets were thread bare and even a dried up bogey on the bathroom tiles. You could say that the sea room view was probably the best part of the room but you couldn’t even see it for all the dirt inside and out. Oh and the bird poo. And oh not to forget to mention the actually bird feathers inside the room. We were in the room for less than 15 minutes due to the health and safety risks here. We went back to speak to the owner/ management to tell them we were not happy with the room and that we want a full refund. I even showed them the image of what they said the bathroom was on their website and then showed them the actual shower image we were greeted too. (Photos below) The staff member said nothing… say no more! When we asked for a refund the staff member told us to go through ***********. Fun fact … by opening a complaint through *********** the hotel won’t respond and by not responding they don’t get to refund you, they just keep your money. *********** should even be showing this hotel on their website which is not acceptable. We were then escorted out of the hotel through the back door as if we did something wrong! Thank god we decided to leave straight away because that place definitely has bed bugs, you can find out more by looking at the hundreds of more bad reviews below ours. I usually don’t leave reviews but I am a honest person and if you take one line from my review or the the other hundreds below… DON’T BOOK THIS “HOTEL”

Do your self a favour, DO NOT stay at this place. They’re not worth what they charge. The place is smelly (like a sewage smell) Toilet paper in corridors and stairs! Bits of kebab on the stairs. Hearing not working. This place is VERY tired, old and weary. Bedding is old, carpets are torn, the stairs are actually wonky (seriously they’re at an angle - go figure)! Doors are only just hanging on their hinges, light bulbs not working, light shades smashed, Found hairs on sinks etc when checking in, paint work very shoddy. I feel really bad for even being here.I CANT WAIT FOR THE MORNING SO I CAN CHEXK OUT. SO DEPRESSING. OMG. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE

Cold filthy and rude young lady at reception, the carpet has never seen a hoover in god knows how long,dirty toilets, broken windows lifts out of order, unstayable so say the least, we wrote this place off and moved to warmer climates losing what we have paid but will have a fight with *********** We have been going to Blackpool since 1988 and this hotel come joint bottom of the list jesmond hotel, needs closing down asap !

DO NOT GO - as others said. We had to move somewhere else. We entered the hotel and it stank of alcohol. You have to walk through the bar to get to your room. It just has locals drinking cans of lager in. We walked up the stairs and they stank of mould. We opened the door to the room and the smell was even worse - stale cigarettes. The toilet was filthy and the light cord was up on the ceiling - my husband had to stand on the toilet to switch it on/off. The room had a TV in a place nobody could watch, which was clearly there for the star rating. The room was so disgusting and we couldn't breathe because of the smell, so had no choice to move elsewhere. The new one was a dream and worth every penny. I booked this through *********** and will be making a complaint about their relationship (the hotel wouldn't refund it). The hotel should not be running at all, not even at 1 star. I will also be complaining to the council.

Well where do i start first of all dont book in this hotel its hotel from hell turned up on 11 march when owner was to meet our group of 37 but did not turn up frist of all no keys gents toilets dirty no heating bar was crap vending machine nearly empty bedrooms freezing no heating and no refund from owner hotel from hell wants closing down and petrol to burn it down as ower doesn't give a monkeys

I advise anyone thinking of booking that hotel which is questionable that they even have the cheek to advertise it as a hotel please don’t it’s a dive of a place it’s dirty freezing cold absolutely stinks of **** damp and mould I wouldn’t let my worst enemy stay there
