So disappointing this used to g=be great hotel/ venue with bar attached. Used to visit fairly regularly for lunch and a couple of pints with friends. No more.... vivited this week for lunch with friends, to be told no longer do food in the day- this is a hotel, do you not think guests might like food in the day? It even has a sign outside saying new menu that got us all excited.... Also... there is a choice of 6 lagers (who needs a choice of 6???) but not a single ale any more. Not everyone wants lager!!! Needless to say, we were only customers but we were not there for long when we discovered this. Best Western have ruined this venue, please turn the clock back!!!

Amazing how one persons attitude can change how you feel about a place. Visited for food and drink, and always enjoyed it until tonight. Have visited several times before but never on a Sunday Checked website which said they close at 11pm However, they rang for last orders at 9.45pm? When we questioned this , we were told that they close at 10 pm and website is wrong. When I pointed out that the website needs correcting. I was told “I am bar staff and nothing to do with me” Surely the correct response should have been” I will let my manager know it can get it corrected” This “not my job” attitude means that we probably won’t visit again but will walk 5 minutes further to Wetherspoons where the opening times are on display ,you get table service and drinks are cheaper.
