Pretty close to the City Centre - maybe about 12-15 mins walk from New Street station. Location was good, small stores close by and the price was certainly good for the December dates we stayed in. The room itself was nice, the bed was big but the bathroom was real tiny as in I could touch both sides of the walls easy (but honestly we preferred to pay less than pay extra £100 for another hotel in the same area) so it was no big problem for us; we managed it okay. There was no kettle in the room but you can get hot water anytime downstairs near the breakfast bar. We also asked to change rooms as there was a disruptive guest on our first night and they gave us a quiet corner room for the next night! We did manage to leave our suitcases with the front desk for £2 on the checkout day so we were not lugging bags around until our train back at 5pm. Overall, it is as the name says, its good if you are on a budget and don't mind small toilet and bathroom. The room was clean, the staff helpful and we had all the basics :)

A cheap and well-located place to stay. Up to 3 people in 1 room. Within 15 minutes walk from the station. 5 minutes from the bus. Room was clean. However, bedding was dull, much too small sheet for the bed that kept coming loose. Also, there are only British sockets. So an adapter is needed.
