Casual Mardones

The truth is that the price is high for the features it has. It is a building in the old town of Bilbao, renovated for tourism. Very small rooms without air conditioning and without elevator. The elevator is not so important because the rooms are on the second and third floors, but we do miss the air conditioning. It is quite hot in summer and only one fan, the stay may not be so pleasant. On the other hand, being in the center, as the room is not interior, the noise from the bars at noon and at night is tremendous. The girl at the reception was very friendly, the second night when we complained about the noise, she changed our room for an interior one that greatly improved the price issue. Still, I see the price as disproportionate.

Das Casual Mardones punktet mit seiner super Lage. Es liegt mitten in der Altstadt von Bilbao. Zahlreiche Bars und Cafes sind fußläufig ganz leicht zu erreichen. Die Unterkunft befindet sich im 3. Stock ohne Aufzug. Die Rezeptionistin war sehr nett und hatte auch den einen oder anderen Tipp für uns parat. Die Zimmer selber sind sauber, allerdings eher klein. Das Bad - und besonders die Dusche - ist wirklich minimalistisch. Auch sind die Räume sehr hellhörig, man hört fast alles, was vor dem Zimmer vor sich geht. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt ist das Casual Mardones (insbesondere aufgrund der super Lage) sicher zu empfehlen, für einen längeren Aufenthalt aber eher nicht.
