The highway from London was closed, and it took more than two hours to drive on the ground. It took three hours to get there instead of an hour. We drove a lot of country roads. It was pitch black at night, and it would be scary for a timid person to drive alone. The countryside in the UK is really dark at night, and it is not recommended to drive alone at night. The hotel is inside a rest stop, the service is good, the staff is enthusiastic, but the hardware is really a bit old, it's OK for one night's sleep.

The room is quite big, located in the highway service area. They are all on the first floor. There is a supermarket and several places to eat in the service area. Overall it's more convenient. Suitable for one night's stay for a self-driving trip.

Room smelt of BO and dust everywhere. Room was changed when asked, but second wasn't any cleaner. Hallway carpets worn out and dishevelled

Stayed here for the Silverstone festival 4 nights. Choose a room on the second floor at the back of the hotel so that we had a quiet room. Room was clean and quiet. Had a fan if needed and was able to open window. Free tea and coffee you could pick up extra milk tea coffee at reception. Only thing missing is no option for a cooked breakfast at the travelodge. But there are plenty of options to eat on site as services are next to the hotel. Free parking on site plenty of spaces. There is a Black and White cat named Moto living at the travelodge which was a nice surprise got his own house next to the entrance. We had breakfast at greggs every morning and got a meal deal from WHSmith before going to the festival 20 minute drive away. Would stay again.

I arrived in the evening and the receptionist was chatting with her friend who was leaning over the counter engaged in conversation. Ignored by the receptionist. I had to ask for a service and her friend just stood there I was not advised by the receptionist that I had to enter my car details in the car registration screen. The screen was blocked by the receptionists friend who continues her after I get my keys and they both their carried on with their conversation for a significant period. I am disappointed with the careless attitude of the receptionist staff. Her name I believe was Gemma. I know it’s a budget hotel but the staff attitude stinks.
