The location is very good, very central. The room is not good. I found it was a 3-star hotel when I arrived. I thought it would be better if I booked a suite, but it was ***. There is no air conditioning, it is very stuffy in the summer, and there is a small bedroom without a window, which is even more stuffy. There is no service, it is just a quick apartment, but it is okay for two nights.

Wir kamen in das Hotel und wurden sehr nett begrüßt. Die Zimmer sind super geräumig, das Bad behindertengerecht, es ist für alles gesorgt. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstück ist gut, man kann im Sommer draußen frühstücken. Die Nähe zum Alexanderplatz, U Bahn, Humboldt Forum und der Spree mit den vielen Möglichkeiten zu Essen ist hervorragend. Wir werden wiederkommen und den Aufenthalt genießen.

The most important things for me when staying away from home are a very quiet location with no road noise or light pollution, a large comfortable bed and a good shower. Nikolai Residence gets 5 stars from me for all of these. Together with friendly and efficient staff, a spotlessly clean hotel, easy access to underground and surface trains, a short walk to museum island and good restaurants and cafes nearby, makes this small hotel perfect for a stay in Berlin. We were there for one week. The hotel does not do breakfasts which concerned us initially. However we were recommended to go to Alex a few minutes walk away that does the most well stocked and extensive buffet you can get, open everyday from 8am.

Het is een bepaalde soort inrichting, maar over de rest van het hotel kan je gewoon niet klagen. Vriendelijk personeel aan de balie, geweldige locatie ik het Nicolai Kwartier, prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Van het restaurant geen gebruik gemaakt. Zou dit zeker adviseren aan anderen en ook zelf weer langs gaan!

This was a quiet, clean and very enjoyable place to stay. We had a lovely room and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was so convenient to walk to the main attractions and railway station. I would recommend this hotel and is particularly suited to couples.
