Nice hotel in a great location next to the zoo and aquarium in Berlin. The 200 bus leaves from outside the hotel to take you to the main sights including Alexanderplatz. Or the S Bahn is only a 10 or 15 minute walk away from the hotel where you can catch the S9 to (and from) the airport.
It’s a comfortable hotel to stay. The staff is very friendly. I like the bath. It’s with strong water pressure so it’s a pleasure to take a shower especially during cold winter nights. The only thing that’s not as satisfying is the bed. It’s probably quite old so it sinks easily. Otherwise it’s a very nice stay.
This stay at the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin was very disappointing and far from the standard that a five-star hotel should have.
First of all, although the hotel states on the official website that it is ”pet-friendly”, I also confirmed by email before booking that cats can be brought in, and I have seen other guests bring cats, but after our cat accidentally pooped on the bed, the female employee who came to deal with it was very indifferent and even said directly that ”cats are not allowed in the hotel.” This is completely inconsistent with the confirmation information we received before. Her tone and attitude made me feel accused and disrespectful. The male employee who came to clean later also showed strong impatience and disgust, and the whole process made us very uncomfortable. As a customer, we have tried our best to deal with the problem and proactively informed, but we got such a response, which is really unacceptable.
Secondly, there were serious problems in the service many times:
• We ordered food through the online system at night, and the system showed that the order was successful, but in the end no one delivered it. We stayed up late waiting for the meal, but we could only go to bed hungry, and no one notified us in advance that the order was cancelled or wrong.
• Once we called to ask for towels, and they promised to ”bring them right away”, but we actually had to wait for nearly 20 minutes. Although this doesn't sound like a long time, we had to stay in the room because of this, which delayed the rest of our trip and was very inconvenient.
• On the first day of our stay, there was an Easter-themed chocolate dessert in the room, but we didn't finish it at the time because it contained cream and was not suitable for self-disposal. As a result, the dessert was never cleaned up until we checked out. The trash can in the room was open, and even if we tried to throw it in, it would be easily touched by the cat. As a result, the cat actually ate the cream that had been there for a few days, causing diarrhea. This not only made us very worried about the cat's health, but also showed that the cleaning work was not in place.
In addition, the overall room environment and service process were not as expected. The experience was more like an ordinary hotel without systematic management, rather than a top international brand. The only thing worth affirming was the doorman team, who were always enthusiastic and polite, and were a rare highlight in the entire stay.
We chose Ritz-Carlton because of our trust in its brand, but this experience completely broke our expectations, and I am afraid we will not consider staying in this hotel in the future.
My experience was horrible. First of all we arrived at the hotel and they gave us a room that someone was staying in so we had to change , I met a couple in the elevator and she told me the same thing happened to them . Secondly there is no pool even though pictures clearly show the pool , the general feeling of the hotel is underwhelming rooms are not up to date ( maybe good enough in 2005 ) , service is not up to standard for what you expect from a Sheraton . Overall I think it’s good enough but not what you pay for , not what you expect from a Sheraton hotel

I loved this hotel and the breakfast was very nice! Location is excellent with the metro and local train connections just few mins away. The lobby lounge looks classy and the view from the higher floors make it look like a luxurious hotel. Would stay again!

Hotel located in the very center of Berlin. Only interesting places around, close to various restaurants. Very nice staff, we got an extra breakfast for our daughter's birthday and a beautiful room with a view of the Aquadom. Well, and the aquarium - a miracle! I would highly recommend.
Awesome stay with the hotel. Staff were extremely professional and helpful when trip.com didn’t properly confirm the rooms with this hotel. The manager went above and beyond to help us resolve the issue . The rooms were stylish and clean and the location was within walking distance of many attractions and the transit system at Zoological Station

The room is very big. It is on the second floor. You can walk out of the room and there is a small garden. The bed is very comfortable, not too soft or too hard, great. The Berlin Gate is right outside the door, and the subway entrance is less than 50 meters away. The transportation is extremely convenient. The breakfast is great, there are many waiters, coffee, tea, and food that needs to be waited for can be ordered and asked to be delivered by the waiter. In short, the experience is very good. I will come again.
