Very good location, fantastic view, really friendly staff and nice art design of the room. The only thing that we don't like is a breakfast (but the area is full of good restaurants).

Flew into Bergamo on late flight, decided to stay in Citta Alta which is stunning, overlooking Bergamo. Hotel organised airport transfer, staff were really helpful & so lovely at check-in. Reception is up a steep flight of steps, but there are lifts up to rooms from reception. Room was a superior twin which was a good size, beds were low but comfortable, great air con & bathroom. Lovely breakfast, couldn’t fault in any way. Citta Alta is stunning, cobbled streets, shops, restaurants, bars, amazing buildings all within 1 minute walk of hotel door. We got upper funicular to castle, views were even more amazing over Bergamo, spent afternoon in a restaurant enjoying the view before returning to collect luggage, hotel booked taxi to station for onward coach to Verona. Lovely hotel, would definitely recommend & hopefully will return. Nothing was a problem for them, they were so willing to help. If you’re flying into Bergamo don’t miss the opportunity to stay and see Citta Alta in this lovely hotel

What a wonderfully atmospheric place this is to stay. The rooms are exquisite and very comfortable. The location is perfect for that older part of the city. Lots of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The breakfast included is simple but tasty and adequate. The hotel staff help is an attitude of nothing is any trouble. Perfect stay for a 2/3 night break in this beautiful part of Italy.

Clairement le seul point vraiment positif est l’emplacement dans la rue principale de la ville haute de Bergame. On entre sur un escalier raide de 18 marches avec une valise de 22 kg, peu agréable …la réceptionniste est cachée derrière un bureau . La chambre est grande dans un décor un peu vieillot, c’est très propre. La salle de bains est propre et sobre. Le petit déjeuner est correct avec plus de personnel que de clients. Le parking payant est à 200 mètres .

Una gemma nel cuore di Bergamo Alta Bergamo è stata una scoperta inaspettata, ma ancora più piacevole è stato il soggiorno di due notti all’Hotel Piazza Vecchia, situato nella zona più vivace e suggestiva della città alta, ricca di colori, suoni e scorci incantevoli. Io e mia moglie abbiamo alloggiato nella Camera Matrimoniale Deluxe con Balcone, una sistemazione elegante e accogliente. L’hotel, ospitato in un edificio storico ottimamente restaurato, coniuga perfettamente l’esigenza del comfort moderno e rispetto per il patrimonio architettonico. Un plauso al personale, sempre presente, cortese e disponibile. La colazione, seppur essenziale, è ordinata, curata e piacevole, perfetta per iniziare la giornata con serenità. Un soggiorno che invoglia davvero a tornare.

This hotel is super cozy and has a great placement in the heart of the old city. The staff was polite, and helped us with recommendations and ordering taxis. One of the ladies could speak Norwegian as well, which was very helpful. I can absolutely recommend this hotel.
