I just can't understand the idea that since the check-in time is 3 p.m., I am not allowed at the resting area to wait. I ended up putting my bag at the storage locker (with fee) and went to walk around.

Pros
1. It's pretty close to Beppu Station.
2. I was a little bit fluent in Japanese, so they explained it to me in Japanese, so I could understand it very well (I think they'd be kind even if I didn't speak Japanese)
3. There's a coffee pot, microwave, razor, toothbrush, and comic books.
4. The bathroom was better than the capsule I stayed in in Fukuoka, which was more expensive.
Cons
1. But it feels like a completely local accommodation, so it might be a little difficult if you don't speak Japanese. It's not easy to find.
2. The blankets are a little stuffy. If your back hurts, don't come here.

Great facility with shared bathroom and sauna, but divided between men and women. Guest room with TV and dispensers for drinks and beer, great after the sauna. The capsules were spartan (no TV, alarm clock, radio). The staff were very friendly and willing to help the customer. You can leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out in lockers for 100 yen.

It's a bit hard to find. There is no sign of the hotel name in English. However, there is an onsen with a sauna in the hotel! It is also close to the main shopping street and restaurants.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Beppu Station. There is a bathhouse on the second floor open to the public. Staying in the hotel is free. Accommodation on the 3rd floor requires a card to enter. The staff was very enthusiastic and took me step by step to introduce each functional area and rest area. They were really dedicated.
