攜程網訂的史密斯夫婦天堂之路酒店，但當地人壓根沒聽過這個名，當地叫the villa，也叫KK collection
這就是巴瓦的莫霍提莊園，70年代還是舊祖屋，後來被巴瓦買下做了斯里蘭卡第一家精品酒店。巴瓦找了幾個朋友都沒買，最後他自己買下來，必然是很有趣的，透過圍牆上的窗子就能看見火車，院子出去就是鐵軌🛤️和印度洋。酒店有點像廈門鼓浪嶼的小洋樓，小巧精緻美麗，適合拍照打卡，當天剛好看見一組人為新人拍婚紗照。房間豪華而舒適，看見火車過，趕緊又拍了兩個小視頻。巴瓦大師的建築，必須五分好評。

The Villa Bentota, designed by the man who built the parliament building, is lovely hotel. It is set in superbly maintained grounds, with a super pool. It is a short step from a glorious beach. After 2 weeks touring we ended our holiday with 3 nights at this cool hotel with great service.

I recently hosted a multiple day event at the property and would absolutely do it again. We did not use an event planner and Mr. Kalpa the resident manager did everything we needed. From quick communications before the event to the arrangements on the days of the event, everything went perfectly smoothly. All the food was amazing, even the food we ordered that wasn't on the menu. Special shout-outs to the birthday cakes they made for us, and the Sri Lankan style pizza, as well as literally all of the Sri Lankan food. The villa itself was gorgeous of course. Everyone who attended our event won't stop talking about it. This was my second stay at the property, and definitely plan to stay again.

This place was perfect. Stunning hotel with luxury, spotless rooms and peaceful beautiful gardens. Right on the beach. Quiet beach and slightly set away from other hotels. Food was incredible and staff could not have been nicer. We were treated so well here and they went out their way to make us have a great time. 1 large pool and a smaller kids one. A short tuk tuk ride away from the water sports centres and a short walk from other restaurants if you wanted a change (although food here much better) Thank you villa bentota!

Our family of three stayed in a (stunning!) ground floor suite for four nights. The property and gardens are beautiful; especially interesting if you are a fan of Geoffrey Bawa. We loved the railway line; just so charming and almost from another time. The highlight was the restaurant staff. I wish I could remember all of their names but nothing was too much trouble; they were just so lovely. and the food superb!! If I had to give any feedback it may be that the reception staff could do a little bit more to explain possible daily tours & activities, outside the hotel and in the Bentota area. Suggest doing this research beforehand independently. Lunuganga garden tour is another must for Bawa fans. Thank you to Ruwan and team, for a wonderful stay. We hope to return soon!

A beautiful oasis! This was our stay at the end of 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. What a wonderful way to wind down before the long trip back to the states. The staff was excellent - and fun to chat with. The room ideal - large, balcony, great shower, and comfortable. The air conditioning had a mind of its own - probably some settings that kicked in during the night - but worked well otherwise. Internet was spotty, but worked for our needs ( why be online when in this place?). There is a train that goes by regularly, but mostly during rush hours and not during the night. Food was very good; nice variety. Breakfast buffet was smaller than some other places, but there is a menu to order eggs, pancakes. French toast, etc so no one went hungry. Sri Lankan breakfast available as preorder - same as other places. The grounds are beautiful - great pool big enough to do laps. Then you also cross the RR tracked to go down to a stunning private beach. We basically used this as our R&R to wind down and didn’t participate in the activities. You’re about 1 km from town - easily Tuk tuk ride - with decent shopping and some restaurants. There are many activities in the area - water sports, hiking, whale watching, fishing - if you’re interested. Loved this place.

The setting for this hotel is stunning - right next to the beautiful beach. Having the railway line running at the back of the grounds was a positive to us although it can be a little noisy if you are a light sleeper. Great fun watching the trains chug past. Our room was lovely - we chose the extended standard room and it was spacious and comfortable. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We were especially impressed with the reception staff who were very kind and approachable. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. We didn't eat dinner there as we preferred to go to one of the many family-run, traditional Sri Lankan restaurants near by. The Villa was a fantastic place to finish our trip around beautiful Sri Lanka.

Very pleasant hotel, excellent spacious suite, nice grounds, friendly and helpful staff. The food is good with an extensive menu, a good choice of Sri Lanka dishes well executed. Nice touch : I was particularly impressed by the iced water being brought to the sun loungers. A few negatives points which could easily be resolved : Lack of sun loungers compared to the number of rooms. Despite the breakfast area being huge, for some reason the tables are cramped together. In the common areas, the soft furnishings could do with a refresh.
