The hotel is well-known, a little old, but the area and overall atmosphere are normal. The price/quality ratio is reasonable. An excellent restaurant overlooking the ocean and a very strange restaurant where breakfast and dinner are held (reviews on Google maps) confirm this. The beach is a little dirty, but this is not a problem of the hotel but of the local population in general.

Taj Bentota was exceptional from stsrt to finish. The setting was beautiful, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was exceptional. My wife and | will definitely be back, it's the best hotel we've ever stayed in during our 60 years on the planet. Beyond exceptional!

nur zu empfehlen. Ich komme gerne wieder, wenn ich nah Sri Lanka komme. Die Sicherheit der Gäste ist sehr gross geschrieben. Das einzige was gefehlt hat, war am Strand keine Hotelliegen. Nur durch private Unternehmen. Aber war ok. Auch dort alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful country. We were very well looked after from start to finish of the holiday. It gave us a great insight into the food and traditions of the country. The hotel was clean and very well appointed. The beachfront location was idealistic. There was a great selection of food and drink available from traditional Sri Lankan to more international. The staff were very attentive and helpful but not overwhelming. The room was a very good size with a nice balcony and great views. The housekeeping staff cleaned and made the room every day with a different “towel origami” display every day. The spa facilities were a very high standard and the traditional massage was excellent. We did not try the fitness facilities but visually the looked to have all the necessary equipment. The entertainment was excellent but not every night. That was not a problem though as there is plenty to do. This hotel comes highly recommended and we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all at the Taj Bentota.

Mein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war wunderbar. Das Hotel selbst ist großartig, der Strand ist ein Traum und das Spa ist wunderbar entspannend. Der Service ist besonders hervorzuheben. Ich wurde wunderbar umsorgt. Alle Mitarbeiter sind unglaublich freundlich und stellen immer sicher, dass einem an nichts fehlt. Und das immer mit einem Lächeln auf den Lippen. Vielen Dank an Tarushi, Sam, Damith und alle anderen für diesen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und die tolle Zeit im Taj Bentota Hotel. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und kann es absolut empfehlen.

We visited the the restaurant "Palms" at the Taj Bentota and had a very good experience. Food was great with multiple options in various cuisines and the service was excellent. Chef Dalip Singh was extremely kind and helpful in providing special dishes for a baby in our group
