The hotel is well-known, a little old, but the area and overall atmosphere are normal. The price/quality ratio is reasonable. An excellent restaurant overlooking the ocean and a very strange restaurant where breakfast and dinner are held (reviews on Google maps) confirm this. The beach is a little dirty, but this is not a problem of the hotel but of the local population in general.

We stayed at the Taj Bentota property and it has a great location with a beautiful beach. The service was exceptional. The receptionist and the staff were very friendly and made sure that we had an amazing holiday. Nishadi and the duty manager were very patient and accommodating of our situation. They gave us an upgrade just to make our daughter feel comfortable. Food was excellent and service was efficient. A special thank you to Asiri who went out of his way to make us feel special. Sous chef Dalip Singh also made sure that our daughter's food requirements were taken care of. A thank you to Ravindra as well for his service. Overall an amazing experience.

Excellent food. Wide variety. Very good options for Indians. Very polite staff.Great Hospitality.Mr. Dilip singh is a great host in the palms restaurant. Mr. Harith also provided great service in the dinner,very kind and attentive. He attends each and every guest and takes feedback. Must visit place. Taj Bentota is a weekend gateway for Indians. Everything about this place is beautiful.

The culinary experience at Taj Bentota was truly exceptional. Chef Dalip ji went above and beyond to cater to our every need, making us feel like we were dining in the comfort of our own home. His dedication to delivering outstanding service embodies the spirit of 'Atithi Devo Bhava' (the guest is God). During our 7-day stay in Sri Lanka, Taj Bentota stood out as a highlight. The resort's hospitality exceeded our expectations, particularly the reception team's attentiveness to our children's specific requirements, which earned us a well-deserved upgrade. The beach, pool, and spa facilities were all impressive, but the food truly stole the show. I wouldn't hesitate to give it an 11 out of 10 – it surpassed our expectations in every way. Chef Dalip ji's culinary expertise is a testament to the excellence of Taj Bentota."

We had a super experience over all.. food hospitality room size etc was excellent..Mr dalip singh the chef was fabulous and so courteous.. we need people like him to take care of guests. The access to the beach and the overall experience is 🙏👍

Taj bentota is a amazing stay right next to the beach. It was an excellent experience with brilliant hospitality of the staff members, especially by the Chef Paramesh Gowda who made sure we were absolutely comfortable with our stay. We were with our kids and made sure the kids get whatever they asked for. He is an amazing chef who does amazing Mysore masala dosa. Unforgettable experience. Thank you !

Our stay at Taj Bentota was excellent with every ask being taken care of. Amazing service levels, amazing staff, polite and always ready to help. I would like to mention especially about chef Paramesh Gowda at their Palms restaurant, he is very good in taking care of the guests, their specific food requirements. He suggested & made customised veg dishes too as we are vegetarians. Very polite and helpful. Breakfast prepared by him (dosa and Parantha) were mouth watering. Kudos to Taj Bentota
