SOL Hotels in Benidorm

Definitely not a 4 star. Family of 4, children being 16 and 10. Rooms small and the bathroom has no air-conditioning so is very hot which adds to the crap air-conditioning in the main room. Food was OK for breakfast and there was plenty of options for dinner, even though it was not the nicest. Food was Luke warm and questionable pink meat. On day 5 of the holiday I started to vomit and diarrhea. This was none stop until I arrive home to belfast. My 16 year old daughter was also vomiting and had diarrhea. Once we got picked up for the airport we got chatting to another guest from the hotel who was also sick and she knew of at least 10 other quests who had also been sick. My husband ask reception to help with anti sickness tablets and was told they can't due to policy. I'm sure they also have a policy to keep food at a high standard so no one gets food poisoning. My daughter and myself were vomiting on the plane on the way home and had to contact our GP to get an anti sickness injection. My GP advised it was mostly likely food poisoning and as the incidents of sickness was told to reception, the hotel would of also been aware of guest vomiting. We will never do all inclusive again out if the fear of this happening again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Some of the bar staff just got on like they couldn't be bothered working and laughing and speaking in there own language when I was ordering drinks, which made me feel uncomfortable. Please think again before staying here.

The hotel in general, from 10. First of all, one thing to highlight and that for me is very important. The spectacular bed, I think I have never rested so well in any other hotel. I looked at the label on the mattress to take a picture of it and consider buying it when I change mine, wonderful. Food very very good. Everything I tried I liked and I did not find anything that was bad, and the variety was good too. The only downside I would put is for the juice. The juice is bad, actually quite a bit. Very good location. Close to the beach and with plenty of parking space. Very very clean and spacious facilities. 3 pools with a bar outside to have a drink while you sunbathe. Good atmosphere. The truth is that all I can say are good things, removing the small drawbacks such as the juice, the water in the shower, that the temperature is not constant and it is difficult to hit the mark and that some employee is not entirely friendly, but otherwise, spectacular .

I have holidayed at The RH Corona del Mar for the last 10 years. The hotel is spotless with good food and an excellent location. This year the hotel has introduced water filters on every floor for guests to use which has meant that plastic bottles for water are no longer needed, great for the environment and guests. There is also a new entertainment manager, Natalia, who is excellent and sets a high standard for the evening entertainment. She is very welcoming and encourages participation. She is an asset to the hotel. All in all another good holiday and I hope to be back.

We arrived really early so didn't expect our room to be ready but we were given our bands and could use the facilities, we decided to go over the road to ”the corner bar” for food (which was really good!). We come back to the hotel about 12.30 and our room was ready when I asked at 12.45, a man took my luggage and showed us to our room which I thought was a nice touch! We stayed in the apartment part of the hotel for 5 nights. The room was clean, modern and had a great view of the cross! The pool areas were clean and a good vibe at the main pool, the other pool was nice for chilling although it does get the shade for most of the day. The staff were great, we aren't the type to get to know the staff but everytime we encountered them, they were fine. Our cleaning lady was lush (I can't remember her name but she was an older lady) she was always smiling and very helpful. Most guests were having a good time and not causing any drama but, there were a few lairy people on the thursday-sunday. They didn't bother too many people but they did get told off by the lifeguard which was good to see 🤭. The food was fine for me but my boyfriend said it wasn't the best choice, very fish orientated but they always had a different meat as well. The location was great! Lots of pubs and eating places on your doorstep and the beach/strip is about 10 min walk. It would be good to have water dispensers throughout the hotel as I had to ask for water all the time (I was drinking about 3ltrs a day!) And I felt like a pain having to ask all the time (the staff didn't mind though!) My only issue and this isn't really the hotels fault but more of an admin fault is that when I booked direct with hotel online, I wasn't given an option for all inclusive PLUS. I was a bit annoyed that you are limited to snacks and some drinks every though you are supposed to be all inclusive. In the end, it didn't hinder our stay at all and we still ate and drank more than enough but it is just a bit shady when there was no option to select it from the website. All in all, I loved this hotel! I have already booked to stay at a different BCL hotel in may next year (aparthotel club) but I would love to come back to this hotel!

The hotel is ”Spanish”...in that most of the guests are Spanish, three generational families. Pool adequate...great for kids...all well behaved while having fun. Absolutely no ”body shaming” which is lovely...”This is me”....all shapes and sizes. Brilliant. Couples, families, but no ”Stag” stuff. A lovely atmosphere. In the evenings, older local ladies came round to play cards, and older gentlemen came to play dominoes. Evening entertainment, when we were there, was Spanish... crooners, and even staff singing in their ”off ” time. Staff absolutely friendly and very hard working...never at rest. Very clean. Food hopeless....what with all the brilliant cheese and cold meats that Spain has to offer...the plastic cheese slices and pink processed cold meats at breakfast were so disappointing. However, if you're into your carbs, plenty of bread, pastry, biscuits. Avoid the coffee in the restaurant...the coffee down in the bar is so much better.............Bus No 1 or 2 gets you down to the ”Brit” ***** along the beach. 1 Euro 60 cents...Or a 20 min walk downhill....harder coming back. The ”***** ” links in to the Old Town which has a lovely evening atmosphere. ...just use your google map. The Italian restaurants, like Pinnocchio, or Manila, on the *****, are grand. (We are not fish and chips, burgers, etc. fans)..but these serve fine Italian and Spanish food.

Let me tell you that you are the service of TRIP.COM. You have charged me the fee for closing the hotel reservation. I have received the confirmation from TRIP.COM via email, reservation number, room, etc. Of course, you also charge me I got there for work reasons. I was surprised that the hotel was closed during the pandemic. It’s not a coincidence. No, you seem to be unprofessional. I sent you an email condemning it. On this matter, you know what you told me is that there are a lot of emails in the queue. If you provide deceptive services and deceive me, I plan to condemn people who you don’t enter as soon as possible. This won’t surprise me. , Because this situation is not developing well, so I plan to publish it on all networks as soon as possible, and even plan to do so for a group of people who have the same experience as me. In the photo, you can see my confirmation. Since the hotel has no problem, I gave the highest score. On the contrary, I have been chatting with them, very friendly.

Stayed here for 1 month, on a BnB basis. Had a really good experience. Breakfast, although not exactly an English fry up, it was close enough. With the continental choice it provided more than enough range. Cleaning was efficient and thorough, the room was large and generally quiet, and check in was well organised. The hotel good for us, as it is not near the centre of Benidorm, but close enough, we had scooters, with buses direct to the airport below and a train station a 2mins walk. Superb. Not much noise from roudies, but when it did happen the staff reacted quickly, so only 1 nights problem. The culprit who we heard walking up the road to the hotel, and crashing through the corridors was evicted. Be warned, but good for guests. I would recommend and will return.
