Magic Aqua Rock Gardens

I was hoping for more from this established hotel . To start, Hotel staff especially at reception seem next to useless at sorting guest arrivals and dealing with any issues. We had a party of 3 and you have wristbands with the room key built in. My daughter was changed 3 time because it didn’t work and my partners could open the door but wouldn’t work at the bar?? Even the staff couldn’t work it out and just palmed us off with” try tomorrow “ Getting around, The hotel is a massive maze, very difficult to find your way around, not helped by being built on a steep hill which means the floors go from -2 to 12 and the pool is on level 0 but not all lifts go to all floors. There are stairs everywhere so if you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. The lifts seem to have a mind of their own and you’ll find yourself waiting ages for a lift then to find only a 4 person arrives already full. Food. Restaurants are clean and a good selection of food especially the freshly cooked fish and meat, sometimes you have to queue to get in but it’s usually quick, for some reason you can only get coffee at breakfast as the machines are covered during lunch and dinner?? Very strange. You can get the usual soft drinks, beers and wine. Snack bar in the pool area is good for drinks and a bite to eat. Bars. Great selection of drinks and surprisingly they use mostly big brands of alcohol not the cheap local stuff you usually get in all inclusive. Pool area. Biggest issues mentioned around the pool is the shade coursed by the tower block in front of the pool. I’m guessing when the hotel was first built it had a clear view across the bay but multiple tower blocks have been built right across the pool area which blocks almost all the view and shades the pool area so it you’re a sun worshiper give it a swerve, no balls or inflatables allowed in the pool which is sign posted so don’t be surprised when your told off by the pool team. Pool water is absolutely freezing and never seems to warm up. Sunbeds. Doors don’t open to the pool until 10 so there is a made rush of sunbed hoggers who then go back indoors?? Not enough sunbeds to go around and they have crammed so many sunbeds in the space available there isn’t much room between them. Entertainment. Very child orientated. Tons of screaming kids in to stage area and average at best acts. To finish. An ok holiday, they’ve tried their best with an aging hotel but it’s really time for a full referb. Not helped by the animalistic nature of the Brit abroad. I will not be returning to Benidorm not just this hotel.

The spa is a must, there is a room with a jacuzzi, sauna and massage shower. Great for some chill out time. I had a massage fron Sussy, she was so warm and welcoming. Massage was very relaxing, so much i dosed off. Highly recommend.

Came with my daughter 8, just me and her, we had fun, she loved it - me hmm not so much but I came for her, it’s a kids hotel for a kids holiday, Pros - Drinks are good - easy to get Pool good size Kids love it Food ok for this type of hotel Slides fun and fast Entertainment good day and night (for kids) Negatives Kids club a bit boring Hotel made to look bigger then is Pool - freezing - kids don’t care Slides are all open at the same time - silly really Sun beds usual carnage! We were on first floor by the pool so just walked out of room at 0957 all good!

Good family hotel food was a bit repetitive and day snacks were limited pool was absoloutley freezing but all in all nice hotel rooms were clean and tidy close to Benidorm ***** the hill isn’t as steep as people make out but may be a struggle for older people or anyone with sore back etc
