Dream Apartments St Thomas Hall

This apartment is in a good location but that is the only redeeming quality. The first apartment had towels on the floor and the freezer defrosting, strong smell of smoke, ripped flooring, dirty floors and surfaces, and no curtains or blinds in the bedroom. After being unable to make contact with the offsite reception, found a WhatsApp number for somebody who moved us into another apartment in the building. It was slightly better but still grubby, but upon visiting the bathroom there was an unflushed poop greeting us. After making contact again we were moved to a completely different location which was much nicer but the whole ordeal took several hours of our single night stay and really put a cloud over our visit. I would never book this location again. Having seen some of the people coming and going I would believe that it is currently being used as some sort of temporary social housing, but I could be wrong. Either way, the tenants/guests and property management do not take much pride or care of this building and it shows.

Apartment was great, very clean and in a good location. Only problem was that i didn’t realise until I got there was that I had to put down a deposit. I think that this should have been part of the details when I booked. I was informed that it would only be put down as a pending amount but I was charged. Other than that I enjoyed the dream apartments and will stay again

This place is an absolute joke, on arrival there was no free parking as it is stated on the website that there is, when we got into our apartment the tv was not working and the hot water did not work, tried to call the company 5+ times and no answer. Loud music all night. There is a  security guard on the premises but was only seen once during the night. At 3:15 am someone was banging on our door intoxicated and it made me feel very unsafe. Did not end up staying the second night as there was nothing nice about this place and I just wanted to get away from it.

THIS PLACE IS A DUMP, MANAGED BY DISHONEST PEOPLE. DON'T STAY THERE. This booking was a disaster from beginning to end. I received a LAST MINUTE notification a couple of hours before my arrival that THE LOCATION HAD BEEN CHANGED TO AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PART OF THE CITY. I was given totally INADEQUATE INFORMATION about the new destination and arrival details, which was really challenging as I arrived tired and late at night. The entire apartment building given SMELLED OF DAMP; it was COLD (it only has economy 7 heating); with an UNFLUSHED TOILET; and the WIFI WASN'T WORKING. Both the smell and the presentation reminded me of every BAD STUDENT HOUSE that I've ever visited. As it was late, I had to stay the night, but I checked out the next morning in order to find somewhere habitable for the second night of my stay. Little did I know that things were only to get worse: I received a message from the owner the next day with his "sincere apologies" and with a lavish offer of moving me to their best facility and GUARANTEEING ME A FULL REFUND. I declined the offer of an alternative place to stay (I was sufficiently scarred by the one night at a location under their management), but was grateful for the refund offer. I duly provided the requested details for the refund. When the refund was not immediately immediately forthcoming, I followed up, and was told it would just a few more days. AFTER A FURTHER TWO WEEKS, STILL NO REFUND, so I phoned the manager and was told that the refund would be processed immediately and he apologised for the delay. AFTER A FURTHER TWO WEEKS, STILL NO REFUND, so I made a further follow-up by text and phonecall and received no reply to either, and eventually FURTHER EXCUSES AND NO REFUND. I believe that the REFUND OFFER WAS A RUSE to stop me posting a negative review and that it was a dishonest and misleading promise. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP, MANAGED BY DISHONEST PEOPLE. DON'T STAY THERE.

This place should be called Nightmare Apartments! I sent my ID two days prior as requested and awaited check in instructions which I did not receive! I rang the office 15 minutes prior to my arrival at the apartments! No reply! On arrival there was no-one present! I rang the office again! No reply! Found a ‘chat’ function on their website and manage to get a WhatsApp number for someone… he asked if I’d tried the office number 🙄 he said he was two minutes away from the office and he would send me the check in details! 40 minutes later I get a WhatsApp message off another employee saying the phone lines are down! I ask him to send me the check in details! I then get contacted by a third employee who states they’d tried to contact me that morning because there was a maintenance issue at the premises and I couldn’t stay there! I queried how they had tried to contact me as I hadn’t received any email or any missed call…. She then stated they didn’t actually have my contact details… so I still don’t know how they’d tried to contact me! After waiting for an hour outside the premises I was told I needed to go to their sister apartments at Obel which was 30 mins away in traffic! On arrival into the apartment it was of very poor standard floorboards lifting, chipped furniture, cracked sinks… and worst of all clearly not cleaned properly as there was a used sanitary towel in the bathroom bin! After reading all the horrific reviews on trip advisor for this premise and their one at Obel it was clear that they have regular maintenance issues and regular issues with their phone lines! They charged the men infront £100 deposit per room which by reading the reviews they’ll never see again! Such a disappointment- waiting round cutting into our trip when we were only there for a night! Appalling customer service! Do not book!
