I took my parents to visit the Forbidden City in Beijing and stayed here for three nights. The main reason was that it has hot spring water! My room was very large. To be precise, it was an independent unit with two bedrooms and two bathrooms (both with bathtubs). Later I found out that it was really an apartment in the past, and it must have been more than 100 square meters! It is indeed a bit dilapidated and has a bit of history, and one of the toilets cannot be closed.
The location is actually very advantageous. It only takes ten minutes to go to Jianguo Station or Beijing Station. (Off-topic) Beijing’s urban infrastructure is really not friendly to the elderly/people with reduced mobility...There are very few lifts (vertical elevators), and there are none at Jianguo Station...There is only an escalator to go up and not go down, and it is long. You have to use the barrier-free elevator for the stairs and it's very slow and takes a long time...
So I just took a taxi...
During my three-night stay, the power supply needed to be repaired, and there was a power outage for the whole day. Fortunately, we left early and came back late, so there was no big problem. It was just that we didn't have the lift to go back to the room to pick up our things after breakfast.
The service staff are very kind and friendly, and it feels like home!
The only bad thing is that there is no buffet breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, only set meals are provided, which is not a pleasant arrangement!
