For this weekend trip to Beijing, we chose Aman Summer Palace as our hotel, which is located next to the Summer Palace and offers exclusive access to the palace. It is said that the guest rooms follow the ancient architecture of the Summer Palace. The rooms use the same design and antique furniture as the Forbidden City. It feels like staying in a royal garden and it is particularly quiet and comfortable to sleep. The snacks delivered on the night of check-in were delicious, and the breakfast included Western style as well as Beijing style. I also received a wooden bookmark as a turndown gift and a luggage tag as a departure gift. The only drawback is that the hotel's bath products are in gourd bottles, and it's a bit difficult to pour out the conditioner and lotion. The overall service is still great!
