The staff here was so welcoming to me and my parents. The receptionists upgraded us as soon as we walked in. The hotel is very difficult location for taxis to get to, and is hard to find. But it’s a pretty gem that is enriched by culture and history. It was very charming, and a nice break from typical hotels.

Clean environment with friendly staff. traditional Chinese architecture but renovated with modern amenities. Really extensive breakfast spread. Good for taking photos and experiencing the local hutongs. The alleyways are narrow so recommend walking from the main road (takes 10-12min) instead of taking a cab in. Cute coffee shop at the end of the alley before the main road which is a plus!

Hello, first of all we were a group of young people travelling and we were completely satisfied. The location is really great, it's a bit of a walk to the metro stations but it wasn't a problem for us. We were particularly struck by the quiet - despite the actually central location in Beijing. The fact that the hotel is in a historic building made our stay something special and we felt comfortable because of the furnishings - a comparison with another, new hotel is not appropriate! Service, cleanliness, location, the special features and the friendliness were such that I would gladly choose the hotel for my upcoming visit to Beijing with my family - depending on my wife and children of course :-)! The restaurant area looks cozy, I can't say much more about it as we were always out late in the evening and ate out. Breakfast was good, continental everything and of course Chinese.
