There are not many people staying in the hotel. You don't have to wait for the elevator. The hotel maintains the characteristics of an old five-star hotel. The front desk people are very friendly and helpful. The location is great since it's in the embassy area in Beijing. The room is very large and comfort except I think the room might have been used by smokers before. But it could be due to the overall dry and smoky air in Beijng during winter. We did not try the breakfast due to its price, but there are plenty free bottled water in the room and 6 free drinks in the minibar, which I think is nice.
I think it can be better if they could provide a gym place.

I have stayed for 7 nights in a row and the cleaning everyday is immaculate. The gym is small but well equipped but the pool was closed for maintenance the pool is one of the reason why I booked the hotel, so a little bit disappointed. Overall the hotel is of great value if you also enjoy timeless 5-star hotel style, there are quality decor and room setting. Service is also excellent as the staff offered to provide humidifier for the room. Great location as you can get to different popular sites in less than 30 minutes. It’s qualified to accept foreign visitors. Will definitely return next time.
