Wonderful hotel in the heart of Old Beijing. Even my local tour partner was surprised to see the area. It's at a walking distance from Houhai Bar area on one side and totally local experience on the other - with small vegetable and fruit stores, local alcohol store and old Beijing people living their daily life.

Service was good, friendly guy behind the reception who spoke some English. Nice location in the hutongs. Restaurants and shops reasonably close by. Rooms were clean and tidy. Wifi worked perfectly. The breakfast was adequate.

Great hotel, the staff (Wenwen nice) are very attentive and friendly, they really work hard. Because they couldn't arrange for us to stay in the same room continuously, they upgraded us to the best room. The hotel environment was also very good, and there were free shadow puppet shows.
