The room was nice, located in the village at the foot of the Great Wall. The owner was very nice. It was raining the day we visited, and our child was feeling a little unwell, but the owner went down to get him without a second thought. The food next door was also quite good, home-style. You can explore the ancient village if you have time. The only downside was that the suite's mattress wasn't as thick as the one in the single room, but everything else was fine.

Visited during ultra low season and the surrounding was almost ghost town like. No breakfast available in the place. Only 1 eating place open nearby.
I am sure it is much better when the town livens up. There is a bus terminal nearby but Baidu maps took me on a roundabout route.
The old town is stone paved, so pulling your luggage may be tiresome.
