It was a truly enjoyable experience. The hotel is easy to find, with convenient parking. The rooms are spacious and have their own private courtyard. The housekeeper was very responsive and responsive to any requests. Meals can be delivered to your room or enjoyed in the restaurant, which is a thoughtfully designed setting. I especially recommend the dishes. We ordered a four-person meal, and every dish was excellent, fresh, and well-presented. The whole family was amazed by the flavors. We usually eat very little, but today we only had a few left. Behind the mountain is a large chestnut forest, where you can pick mushrooms. Taking the kids there was so tiring that we didn't even have the energy to take photos. Right in front is the Huaisha River, making it a convenient walk for fishing. All in all, I couldn't get enough of my stay. Thank you to the Qiqi family for their dedication to running a B&B.

It was a truly relaxing vacation. The moment we entered the courtyard, we were pleasantly surprised by the unique and elegant scenery, a feeling of time travel. The vibrant flowers were vibrant yet not overwhelming. Just outside the courtyard flowed the crystal-clear Huaisha River, a perfect place for children to play. The adults didn't have to do anything; they just sat under an umbrella, sipped tea and chatted while the children entertained themselves, caring for the kittens, having water fights, catching beetles, playing football, and playing hopscotch. Occasionally, they'd come over for a bite of fruit, wipe their mouths, and then go back to playing. Since we were there midweek, there were almost no other guests, so we were lucky enough to have the entire resort to ourselves. The next morning, we even climbed the hill behind. It was quite steep, but the path was flat, and the climb was both thrilling and tiring. In the drizzling rain, the children were delighted to pick mushrooms, laughing and chatting along the way. It was a wonderful feeling to be so close to nature, and the adults found it fascinating, too. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated in a modern Chinese style. Each has its own separate wet and dry bathroom. The rooms are spotlessly clean, even the windows are spotless, a testament to the owner's meticulous attention to detail. The rooms have their own courtyards, offering views of the water. Waterfowl are often spotted, and I heard you can even fish in the river. I'd also like to add that the food at the B&B is absolutely delicious. Every dish is exquisite and flavorful, and even my picky kids devoured it. My favorite dish is the chestnuts in the braised pork. True to Beijing's chestnut heritage, they're sweet and soft. The only drawback is that there's too much meat and not enough chestnuts. I sincerely suggest the owner increase the amount of chestnuts. The red bean cakes served with afternoon tea were absolutely delicious. Everyone was amazed by the presentation and deliciousness of the food and raved about it. We've already made plans to return in the fall.

I've always loved the courtyards at Qiguniangjia. Each one has its own unique character and style, and each one is cozy and perfect for gatherings with family and friends. Now they even have a restaurant (the braised pork and Maoxuewang are both delicious! The coffee is also great!), so eating and drinking is a breeze. On weekends, I can just pack up and leave, breathe in the mountain air, scented with thorn flowers and mugwort, and even just relax in the courtyard for a while.
