Linaker Motel

This was a lovely stay, Deano was very welcoming and I think a very nice bloke, don’t be alarmed if you hear him scream at the top of his lungs, from other reviews I read it’s normal so no need to be alarmed, we stayed in the deluxe room with the spa bath and the room was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great. Overall I think the room is very reasonably priced for what it is and as long as you don’t expect an all inclusive 5 star motel you’ll like this motel.

Great location which was really quiet. The rooms were all clean with good sized ensuites and amenities. Very well run with off street parking and an easy 10 minute walk into town. Manager Dean was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

DEANO!! WOW! He doesn't look like your cookie-cutter, stereotypical front receptionist at an accommodation, but don't let that fool you. The man is genuinely so welcoming, friendly, helpful and considerate. He doesn't speak like a robot reading scripted lines. He's sincere and actually cares. Deano went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too difficult. They've had such a busy weekend from Easter but it didn't dilute his customer service. He noticed that we were staying with our 2 year old and made sure we chose the best option room for our stay. He and his wife were genuinely so lovely and made all of the guests feel welcome. Even while they're running around helping out others and getting rooms ready etc. The accommodation itself is clean and tidy. Quite spacious. It had everything we needed. It was very nice and quiet at night. And not a long walk away from the town centre. We actually chose to walk into town rather than drive. There's plenty of free parking at the accommodation. There's plenty of info around the hotel about what restaurants are nearby, their opening times, disability access etc. Info about local markets too. Before checking in, during our stay and even after checking out- Deano helped us. Our car battery died and he immediately grabbed a jump start kit and helped us again. Without hesitation and without making it seem like an inconvenience to him. He just kindly helped us. I can almost guarantee nowhere else would do that for guests, or one that just checked out. The Wi-Fi didn't work in our room, but it didn't matter for us. We have mobile data and there's free Wi-Fi as you walk down the road if you really needed to rely on it. If you're looking at decent priced accommodation, a quiet area to sleep at night, close to the main town but not in the centre, and exceptional customer service - go to Linaker. We would definitely book there again. Thank you for everything, Deano. You are a superstar!

Attended Good Friday for the Easter long weekend , staff happy to take payment, rooms not ready , left and gave staff reasonable time to get the rooms ready , re attended , rooms still not ready , asked for alternate rooms , denied , asked for a refund also denied , shoeless bogan running the show threatened to call the police , zero stars , do not recommend.

for a 150bucks a room without Wifi and a missing remote for the tv ..... we'll, IMHO that doesn't gel. Guess you can get away with this approach in Beechworth being a tourist spot, especially over the weekend. We stayed here about 2 years before and had been reasonably happy with all, but not this time

The room we stay in was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was large and had a fantastic shower. Facilities a little out dated, but it added to the old charm of the place. Location was great proximity to the Asylum if you are looking at doing a ghost or historical tour of the grounds. Deano at the front desk was so lovely and welcoming on our arrival, great guy! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

Absolutely disgusting, the room and the entire motel is dirty, old, dated and smells. The place had no power when I arrived, I was sent away (told to come back later) and told I couldn’t check in and because of the power issue they weren’t able to dry towels for the rooms. My bedding is damp and smells like it’s sat in a washing machine wet for days. The manager Dean swears his head off at reception and walks around with no shoes or socks on at all. All you can hear from the rooms is him yelling down the hallway from reception. I’m half tempted to just go and sleep in the car instead of laying here in this sh#t hole. Whatever you do - don’t waste your money!!!

very good, Deano was very friendly without being over bearing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, comfortable beds and pillows. Basic fridge, toaster, kettle, all very good. Beautiful gardens surrounds

What can I say. Nothing works, the place is falling apart. The "Concierge" was shoes less the whole time and failed to put his teeth in, the place is shabby, the internet is non existent though there is supposed to be internet access. The place is dirty and dusty.
