Le Clos de l'Aigue

We spent three nights at Le Clos de l'Aigue in early July. It's a beautiful place with a pool near the centre of Beaune; we were able to walk into the centre easily and hire bikes nearby for a day of cycling around the countryside. The stay itself was wonderful and relaxing. The pool is refreshing, the breakfast was just right, and the chickens were very cute. We'd highly recommend it to anybody.

Our first time at Le Clos de l'Aigue and the experience was faultless. Much has been said in previous reviews, but this is a little gem of a hotel. Our room was like having a little hotel suite with separate lounge area and en suite bathroom (it also had air conditioning). Breakfasts are great here and Sandrine was an excellent host. It is only a short walk into Beaune from the hotel and the pool was perfect for cooling off from the hot weather. There are lots of hotel options in Beaune, however, when we return here Le Clos de l'Aigue will be our first choice of places to stay.

Couldn't have been welcomed more warmly. Sandrine is a perfect host. Room was nice size with lovely big shower / wet room. Weather not perfect so only had a short dip in the pool. Breakfast was excellent. Advice on local restaurants was spot on. Makes a great base for visiting Beaune as center is only a 10 min walk away. Easy access to cycleways to wineries north and south.

We had such a nice 2 night stay here in mid September - the property is beautiful and Sandrine the owner is delightful! She really does go out of her way to help you. It's tucked away but only a short walk into Beaune town centre and in a very peaceful setting. The gardens are beautiful with a gorgeous, warm pool but we didn't get the chance to use this as the weather was very wet and stormy in mid September - such a shame! The individual apartments are lovely, beautifully furnished and maintained and nice little extras are provided. We also enjoyed feeding the friendly chickens. Breakfast was wonderful - lots of home made treats, fresh ripe fruit, selection of cheeses and cold meats and eggs from the chickens. We really enjoyed a walk around the Beaune vineyards, literally a few minutes' walk from Le Clos de L'Aigue one morning when the rain eased - a must do! Thanks Sandrine, our stay was perfect .......if only you could have fixed the weather too!
