We booked as a last minute getaway due to both having a couple days off from our jobs midweek. The manager was absolutely amazing & so accommodating. He rang me up and explained how we get access and there’d be a note waiting for us on where our room was. (Top Floor - Pulteney room) We dropped our bags & went off exploring, came back late. The bed was extremely comfortable and perfectly located from the town. Found it so easy to get to the town & back. Breakfast was delicious both mornings of our stay. Beautifully hosted by the same manager I spoke with over the phone. A Townhouse/Guesthouse I will definitely be recommending to anyone who is wanting to stay in Bath. Thank-you to those staff who looked after us. Hope to visit again. Thank you kindly :)

We stayed at this hotel as we were going to watch the rugby & as it was 5 star it was a real treat! However in the Victoria room we noticed the dirt around the rim of the toilet, scum under the shower bar, things held together with insulation tape, a stained headboard, safe didn’t work, & this cost £237.50. After complaining, we were told if we wanted brand new we should have gone somewhere else & paid more money, we didn’t want brand new we just wanted a hygienic & clean room!!! On paying we were told they would take off the service charge which was discretionary anyway. We will certainly not be staying here again.

Lovely period type hotel in a fantastic location ! Staff were excellent as was breakfast .
Only issue was getting hot water for a shower for our family staying on the top floor

The canopy bed was very soft and comfortable. Everything was lovely for my Daughter and I making our overnight stay in Bath very special.
The canopy bed would look better with the canopy curtains shown in the booking link.
Breakfast was wonderful.

What a lovely hotel. We stayed overnight as we had tickets to watch Bath Rugby at the REC. It was a perfect location. The staff were really lovely, the room was beautiful (with a wonderful view over the REC), breakfast was delicious and all in all it was just perfect for us. Such a characterful building too - beautifully decorated and full of original features. We shall definitely stay again.

Jamais nous n'avons trouvé autant de points négatifs à un logement. A part l'accueil qui est "correct" le reste est vraiment en dessous de tout. Tout le bâtiment à rénover/réaménager: - chambre exigüe - sols de niveau différents et "rebondissants" - rangement inexistant - literie d'un autre âge - prises électriques très difficiles d'accès (il faut se mettre à genoux et se contorsionner) - salle d'eau microscopique avec baignoire carrée à l'émail éclaté et rouillé équipé d'un rideau de douche pas très propre et en plus le chauffage ne fonctionne pas. - petit déjeuner minimaliste Bref ... n'y allez surtout pas !!!

Breakfast was not good for me as someone with coeliac disease, on my 2nd day and thankfully last day of having breakfast I was very ill on the way home and a day later I'm still suffering. I had egg on gluten free toast and I think butter from a shared dish was put on the toast. No fruit was offered as in the gallery on website.
