Thank you for a great stay in a really central location near the Abbey. Norman is super friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond and let us leave our luggage for the day after check out. Really quiet nights sleep..Great continental breakfast. Thank you Norman! Best of luck for the future.

I’m a little late leaving this review as stayed in December. Had such a wonderful stay here. The rooms were absolutely lovely, so cosy and snug to come back to in the cold weather and decorated so nicely. The location is about as good as it gets and the value for money is excellent. The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent, including the cooked breakfast. We had a meal in the restaurant one of the nights and it was delicious. A full English was included in the price (along with many other choices) if you booked through their website as we did and it was absolutely lovely. I won’t even bother to look to book elsewhere if I return to Bath, I will just head straight to their website because I’m pretty sure nothing will beat it in terms of value, location, food and nice rooms.

We stayed here for one night in a family room whilst touring the area. Room was basic but very clean and comfortable and a pretty good size same as the ensuite bathroom. Yes you had to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the room but we were aware of that beforehand and it wasn't a problem at all. I guess British friendliness is not the same as Mediterranean friendliness so we weren't overwhelmed by that but owner was polite and helpful even accomodating me to a slightly late breakfast as i had to tend to our daughter who was taken ill. The parking permit was very helpful and we were lucky enough to find a parking space right outside the property. It was a bit noisy at night with a party going on near by and then noisy party goers walking in the street once it was over, however this was more than made up for by the location which is brilliant just a few minutes walk to the river, park, Bath Abbey, the Roman baths and lots of lovely restaurants

Avoid. Do not be fooled by the out of date pictures. Room was not particularly clean and full of cobwebs. The stairway had a strange smell. The bare minimum of tea and coffee in the room. Two small cartons of long life milk no biscuits one spoon Room left unlocked after it was supposedly had been cleaned. Duvet just pulled over the top. Dirty cup and glasses just replaced on tea tray. The most unwelcoming and unfriendly host I've ever come across and I've stayed in quite a few places. If you speak with a plummy accent and dress to his standards. ( Watch Four in A Bed April 2016) it sums him up nicely.
